Naruto looked at Jiraiya speechlessly, wanting to leave this place of chaos. A deafening explosion suddenly erupted outside the inn, startling Naruto.
"What's going on?"
Naruto looked at Jiraiya, whose eyes were shining.
"Follow me!"
Releasing the woman in his arms, Jiraiya called out to Naruto and quickly darted out of the room.
"What happened?"
Arriving at the scene, Naruto's gaze narrowed as he looked at the city wall, which had been reduced to rubble. He reached out and stopped a panicked passerby, "What happened?"
"Snakes! There are snakes!"
The passerby looked panicked. "Run! It's too late if you don't!"
"Snakes?"
Naruto frowned, looking at the rubble. Orochimaru is so badly injured, yet he's still so rampant? Is it Kabuto Yakushi?
"It seems we're too late. Naruto, follow me!"
Jiraiya's eyes narrowed as he darted away at high speed.
"Okay."
This is so strange. Naruto was eager to get some answers now.
"Thump!"
Naruto's eyes narrowed as he arrived on a vast, desolate grassland. This guy is…
"Tsunade, you truly don't want to revive your beloved brother and that man?"
Orochimaru's voice was chilling.
"Lord Orochimaru, I'm afraid this woman won't cooperate. We should take her down first."
Kabuto Yakushi chuckled softly, his tone sinister.
The bizarre thing was, the voices of Orochimaru and Kabuto were coming from a single mouth!
Moreover, the person speaking bore a resemblance to both Orochimaru and Kabuto.
"Orochimaru, don't even think about getting me to fully restore the damaged cells in your body, it's absolutely out of the question! Hah!"
With a shout, Tsunade slammed her fist into the ground.
Boom!
"Oh dear, Lord Orochimaru, I told you, negotiation isn't going to work. Perhaps we should beat her half to death first."
The voice of Kabuto Yakushi came from the dust, "Hidden Shadow Snake Hands!"
"Hah! Rasengan!"
"Crack…!"
Blood sprayed everywhere, and pieces of severed snakes fell from the sky.
"Huff… Granny Tsunade, what's going on?"
Naruto, standing in front of Tsunade, turned his head and asked in confusion, "How can that guy be making the voices of both Kabuto Yakushi and Orochimaru?"
"It's obvious, they've merged."
Tsunade suppressed the fear rising from the depths of her heart, confirming the hunch Naruto had.
"What?"
Even though he had already anticipated it, Naruto was still shocked.
"That's the truth."
Tsunade explained, "Through the forbidden jutsu abilities that Orochimaru researched, he and Kabuto Yakushi have become one. However, the cells in their chests were completely damaged because of a slight rejection reaction. So, they came to me to make a deal. What I need to do is help them repair the completely necrotic cells in their chests. Only my medical ninjutsu can restore this level of cell necrosis."
"So, Granny Tsunade, you refused, right?"
Naruto grinned at Tsunade.
"Yes, I refused."
Although Tsunade's face was pale, she wore a relieved smile.
"Alright."
Naruto nodded at Tsunade, "Then, I'll protect you now."
"Nine-Tailed Fox!"
"Acknowledged!"
Boom!
With a pillar of red chakra erupting around Naruto, his Nine-Tailed Fox form fully appeared before the Sannin.
"It's that brat?"
Orochimaru's tone was filled with an unconcealed desire for violence, along with a hint of fear.
"Lord Orochimaru, things are different now. We have nothing to fear from that Nine-Tailed Fox brat."
Kabuto Yakushi's voice held a trace of madness. "We've grown so much stronger now…"
"Heh heh, Kabuto, you really don't mince words, do you? Indeed, I'm a little scared."
Orochimaru gave a sinister laugh, as if mocking something.
"Then, Orochimaru-sama, leave it to me!"
Kabuto Yakushi's voice emerged. The combined form tilted its head and opened its mouth. A snake quickly slithered out, and a sword radiating a chilling, cold light was slowly delivered from the snake's mouth.
"Summoning the Kusanagi Sword?"
Naruto's eyes narrowed, and five pale golden fox tails swayed in the wind.
"Nine-Tailed Fox, cooperate with me to use the long-range attack, Fox Fire!"
Naruto roared in his mind.
"Roar, roar, understood!"
The Nine-Tailed Fox growled a few times, slowly releasing its chakra.
"Gurulu…"
Black, liquid chakra slowly condensed in the air.
Taking the black chakra into his mouth, Naruto's fox-like eyes narrowed. He then spat out the chakra: "Fox Fire!"
"Sixfold Rashomon!"
"Boom!"
The chakra beam was unstoppable, blasting through the first five layers of Rashomon in one go. It paused briefly at the sixth layer, but only for a moment before exploding through it and charging towards the fused being.
However, that brief delay was enough for the fused being to escape.
"Phew, that was close… Uh, Orochimaru-sama, we should make this quick. The pain in my chest needs to be suppressed with medication."
Kabuto Yakushi's voice was tinged with pain.
"Mm, Kabuto, do as you see fit."
Orochimaru gave a sinister command.
"Then, Hidden Shadow Snake Hands!"
With a loud shout, Kabuto Yakushi regained control of his body and immediately charged towards Naruto.
"Lightning Release: Ground Walk!"
Naruto formed a hand seal, and streaks of writhing lightning shredded the incoming snakes into pieces, blood once again splattering across the sky.
"Wood Release: Spore Technique!"
Naruto shouted, and suddenly, golden powder, appearing from nowhere, sprinkled onto the composite being.
"Body Hardening!"
Making a hand seal at the composite being, Naruto's expression immediately changed.
Because, the person on the other side turned into a puddle of mud the moment they were attacked.
"Damn it, their target isn't to hit me!"
Naruto immediately realized.
The next moment, accompanied by a hissing sound, Kabuto Yakushi's sinister voice rang out, "Double Hidden Shadow Snake Hands!"
"Hiss…"
The sky filled with snake shadows as Orochimaru's hands moved, sending two dense masses of snakes spiraling towards Tsunade.
"Damn it!"
Jiraiya watched the snakes, their sheer number making his scalp tingle, and instinctively wanted to intervene.
"Hah!"
Another earth clone appeared in front of Jiraiya, though it was destroyed in a single blow.
But that small delay was all that was needed.
Seeing the blood once again, Tsunade was now trembling, completely unable to fight.
The situation was critical!
