The moment Robert kicked the bike into gear, the engine roared like a caged beast released into the wild. He didn't just drive; he flew. The speedometer climbed rapidly as they hit the open road, the wind becoming a physical wall against them.
"Hey! Hey! Slow down! Robert, slow the ride!" Levis screamed, his voice nearly swallowed by the rushing air. He squeezed his eyes shut, burial his face into the leather of Robert's jacket.
"What?! No way!" Robert shouted back, a wild grin hidden behind his visor. "My ride is always hard, Levis! Whatever I do, I do it fast!"
"Ahhhhhhhhhhh!" Levis screamed, his heart hammering against his ribs. He felt like he was flying and falling all at the same time. He squeezed Robert's waist so hard his knuckles turned white.
"Levis! Levis, don't be afraid!" Robert yelled over the roar. "Lift your head! Open your eyes and feel the ride!"
"No! No, I'm afraid!" Levis protested, but Robert only pushed the throttle further.
