The air behind Bright's estate was cool and smelled of damp earth and fresh pine. In a secluded, peaceful corner of the garden, Stella had been laid to rest. Bright slowly pushed Xavier's wheelchair across the grass, the wheels crunching softly.
Levis was already there. He was sitting on the ground directly in front of the fresh mound of earth, his head bowed. Surrounding him, Nora, Stofia, and Robert stood like a protective wall, their shadows long in the morning light.
"Mom..." Levis whispered, his voice trembling as he reached out to touch the cold headstone. "Your son... Levis is here."
His eyes filled with tears that he could no longer hold back. "See, Mom? I finally came. I couldn't give you a proper farewell when it happened... but at least I brought you justice. The man who hurt you is gone."
