Robert drove straight to the mansion, his gut churning. Before he even entered, he was pulling out his phone. Why hasn't Levis called? He checked the time; hours had passed since the cemetery. Didn't he say he'd call when he was back at the shop? Is something wrong?
As he walked into the main hall, King Stuar's voice, sharp and commanding, stopped him. "Ah, Robert, we were waiting for you. Come, I need to talk with you."
Robert went, noting Nova sitting rigid in her chair, her shoulders tight with barely concealed anger.
"I've agreed to give all my properties, the underworld business, and the Stuar World Group to you," King Stuar stated, his voice unusually grave and confidential.
"Dad, what are you saying?" Robert countered, completely thrown. "You don't have to give all that just because Grandpa gave me the Royal—"
"This is not about the Royal properties, Robert," Nova cut in, her voice strained. "It includes a very important person of your father's."
