Chapter 27 - Levis Happiness!

After hearing Levis's devastating truth and David's cruel revelation, Bright's world fractured. He staggered out and bolted toward his designated groom's room, slamming and locking the door. He was no longer angry at Levis; he was consumed by self-loathing. He screamed, venting his profound frustration, throwing every object he could reach before collapsing onto the floor, sobbing uncontrollably.

No, no, no. I'm not a good person. I'm cruel! he murmured, his hands shaking. He remembered all the forced smiles, the hidden tears, and the suffering he had inflicted on Levis over the years.

He rose and walked to his luggage, retrieving his mother, Ria Aro's, photo frame.

"Mom, your son isn't a good person," he choked out, clutching the glass frame to his chest. "I'm extremely sorry. I... I can't keep Levis happy. He suffered a lot just because of me!"

He closed his eyes, and a memory flashed back: a nine-year-old Bright talking to his mother just before her death.
