After Nova explosive confrontation with the media and Lilly, Nova Stuar strode into the Stuar headquarters, her fury now channeled into icy concern for her son. Steven, standing guard outside Robert's cabin, was sweating profusely.
"Madam, if the Prince finds out I'm the one who told you..." Steven began, his voice shaking.
"I'll manage," Nova cut him off. "Do not interrupt. I need to speak to my son personally."
She went straight into the cabin. Robert, still seated at his desk, rose to greet her. "Mom, what are you doing here?"
Nova rushed past his question and grabbed his injured hand, examining the clumsy bandaging.
"Really, Robert? I should slap you across your face!" Nova's voice cracked with a mixture of anger and pain. "But you are my son, and if I hurt you, my heart hurts more than yours! For what reason did you do this? Just because that baker boy isn't yours yet? Is that why you break glass and hurt yourself?"
