Chapter 144 - THE WAR OF NON EXISTENCE

The universe trembled.

Not in panic. Not in chaos.

But in recognition.

From beyond the Canopy, a being emerged.

It was far stronger than any god or emanation, a creature of pure force, time, and concept.

Its existence itself bent laws and reality in protest.

It had come for Kael Veyris. The races gathered around the Root.

Axiom Born: minds weaving patterns of order, reinforcing causality itself.

Umbrals: shadows folding around possibilities, anticipating threats before they happened.

Verdant Continuum: roots stretching across space time, ready to stabilize collapsing dimensions.

Nyx hovered near Kael.

They think this is a war, she said softly.

Kael sipped his tea.

They've only just begun to understand… it's not about force. It's about authority over existence itself. The being struck first:

Time fractured moments repeated, skipped, and collided.

Planets blinked out of existence, then returned in altered positions.

Fate threads tangled, threatening entire civilizations.

Yet Kael remained unmoved.

He did not act.

He simply allowed the chaos to touch him and it failed to matter.

Lightning, shadow, root, and probability all bent gently around him.

The universe itself paused, consulting the Roots.

The enemy realized: its power… did not reach the Root.

Kael raised a hand subtly, and the creations acted not with aggression, but coordination.

The Umbrals wove shadowed buffers that softened concept strikes.

The Verdant Continuum reformed spac time like gardeners pruning broken branches.

The Axiom Born calculated corrections to probability and causality, preventing collapse.

Every strike the enemy made unraveled before touching Kael.

Every attack became a lesson executed perfectly by the Root's creations. It roared if such a thing could be called a roar.

It tried to erase Kael, to rewrite him, to impose itself above the Root.

Nothing worked.

Its concepts folded like paper in an unseen hand.

Its timelines collapsed politely, reorganizing into… nothing.

Its fate threads unraveled and rewrote themselves as failure.

The being's existence became a paradox it could not solve:

To oppose the Root was to oppose the rules of existence itself.I could end it.

I could erase it from all realities with a blink.

But the Root does not destroy unless necessary.

I allowed it to strike, to learn its futility.

The Root does not fear.

It observes.

It permits lessons.

And the enemy… failed.

When the being gathered everything it had left, Kael finally acted.

With a flick of thought:

CrossTime Erasure activated.

OmniNull Sovereignty engaged.

AbsoluteNon Presence ensured no retaliation.

In an instant:

The being ceased to exist in past present, and future.

Every parallel, every concept, every memory erased.

There was no trace of it anywhere ever.

The universe exhaled.

The races watched in awe.

Axiom Born recalculated their perception of reality.

Umbrals whispered silently, absorbing lessons in subtlety.

Verdant Continuum rooted deeper into the cosmos patient and calm.

Nyx floated next to Kael, smiling faintly.

Even a war can be polite it seems.

Kael sipped his tea.

Yes. Force alone is meaningless. Only control matters.

Olympus, the Canopy, the stars they all felt it:

Kael Veyris existed at the Roots.

No being above, however powerful, could challenge him.

The enemy had fought, learned, and vanished all by permission of the Root.

The Universe Tree rustled softly.

Approval. Balance. Calm.

Kael remained.

Patient.

Silent.

Unmoved.

The Root was eternal.

The enemy… never existed.

And the cosmos understood: true power does not strike it permits.
