**SEASON 1 — EPISODE 2**

### **"The Vampire Who Kept Watching Her"**

*(Lucian × Isha — slow burn, tension, protective, emotional)*

---

Isha barely slept that night.

Her phone buzzed with notifications—missed calls, messages—but she didn't open anything. She sat on her bed, staring at the crescent mark glowing faintly on her wrist.

It pulsed softly.

Almost like a heartbeat.

"Why now?" she whispered into the quiet room. "Why him?"

Lucian.

His name alone made her chest tighten.

Silver eyes.

Cold hands.

A voice that sounded like it belonged to another world.

A vampire.

A creature of legend.

And yet… he saved her.

He told her to forget him.

As if that was possible.

Her phone vibrated again—her best friend calling.

She rejected it.

She needed answers first.

Standing up, she walked to her window.

The street outside was calm, ordinary, human.

Nothing supernatural.

Nothing monstrous.

She closed her eyes and exhaled shakily—

Then froze.

A shadow moved across the street.

Standing under the faint glow of the streetlamp…

**Him.**

Lucian.

Tall.

Still as a statue.

Hands tucked into his coat pockets.

Eyes glowing faintly as he watched her window.

Her heart skipped painfully.

He wasn't looking at her with hunger.

Or danger.

He looked… worried.

Her breath caught when their eyes met.

He instantly stepped back, fading into the deeper shadows as if to hide himself.

Before she could think, Isha threw on a jacket, rushed outside, and sprinted across the road.

"Lucian!"

He froze mid-step.

She reached him, breathless.

"Why are you here?"

Lucian turned slowly, expression unreadable.

"I am ensuring the rogue had no accomplices."

"You were… protecting me?" she asked, voice soft.

His jaw tightened.

He said nothing.

But the silence itself was an answer.

"You told me to forget everything," Isha whispered, stepping closer. "But you're the one who came back."

Lucian looked away, silver eyes flickering.

"It was a mistake."

"No, it wasn't."

Something flickered in his gaze—something fragile.

Dangerous.

Like emotions he wasn't allowed to have.

"Isha," he murmured, voice low. "The more I'm near you… the more danger you're in."

She swallowed.

"You already saved me once. Isn't that reason enough to stay?"

Lucian's fingers curled slightly, as if fighting himself.

"It is the exact reason I should leave."

She took a tiny step closer, closing the gap between them.

"You said my birthmark… wasn't supposed to exist in this century. What does that even mean?"

Lucian's eyes moved to her wrist.

His breath hitched.

"I… cannot tell you yet."

"Why?"

"Because the truth will destroy whatever normal life you have left."

The words were gentle.

Protective.

Painful.

But Isha wasn't a child.

She wasn't fragile.

She lifted her wrist toward him.

"Will it stop glowing if you tell me what it means?"

Lucian's throat bobbed.

"No."

"Then I deserve to know."

He stared at her, torn, a storm in his silver eyes.

Finally, he whispered—

"Isha… your mark is tied to a prophecy older than your world. One that should have died centuries ago."

"A prophecy about what?"

"About me."

The words punched the air out of her lungs.

Lucian stepped back quickly, shaking his head.

"I've already said too much."

"Lucian—"

"No."

His voice cracked.

"I cannot—must not—pull you into my curse."

He turned away.

Isha reached out without thinking, catching his wrist.

Cold.

Strong.

Unreal.

Lucian froze at her touch like he'd been struck.

Her breath trembled.

"What curse? What does my mark have to do with you?"

Lucian slowly turned, eyes burning with something painful.

"You glow when I touch you," he said softly. "Humans don't do that."

Her cheeks warmed.

"And you feel it too," she whispered. "I can see it."

A small, broken sound escaped him—somewhere between a laugh and a sigh.

"It's dangerous to look at me like that," he murmured.

"I'm not scared."

"You should be."

He stepped closer—just an inch—but it was enough.

Enough for his cold breath to brush her cheek.

Enough for her heart to race embarrassingly loud.

"Lucian…" she breathed.

Then—

A deep growl echoed behind them.

Lucian snapped his head up instantly.

His expression changed.

Cold.

Sharp.

Deadly.

He grabbed Isha by the waist and pulled her behind him—too fast, too smooth.

His touch lingered one second too long.

Her breath hitched at the unexpected closeness.

Accidental or not… she felt his chest against her back.

Strong.

Cold.

Protective.

Her cheeks burned.

But the moment shattered as another figure stepped out from the shadows.

Not a rogue this time.

A vampire.

But unlike Lucian, this one had crimson eyes, a smug smile, and an aura that screamed trouble.

"Well, well," the stranger drawled, eyes sliding over Isha. "Is this her?"

Lucian's voice dropped into a growl Isha had never heard before.

"Stay away from her, Kalen."

Kalen smirked lazily.

"Oh, relax, brother—"

"**I said stay away.**"

Brother?

Isha blinked. Lucian and this smug creature were related?

Kalen raised his hands.

"Fine, fine. No need to go feral."

He examined Isha more openly now, eyes narrowing.

"The Mark… interesting. So she's the one?"

Lucian stepped between them, blocking Kalen's view completely.

"Not another word."

Kalen rolled his eyes dramatically.

"You always ruin my fun."

Lucian's voice was a threat.

"You come near her again, and I will end you."

"Relax," Kalen drawled. "I only came to warn you."

Lucian tensed.

"Warn me about what?"

Kalen looked amused.

"The Council knows she exists."

A chill sliced through the air.

Lucian's jaw clenched violently.

"They were never supposed to find out."

"Well," Kalen shrugged, "news travels fast when your human glows in your presence."

Lucian looked at Isha with a mix of fear and guilt.

"Isha," he breathed, "you need to leave. Now."

She shook her head instantly.

"No. I'm not going anywhere."

Lucian exhaled shakily.

"Please," he whispered. "Just this once—listen to me. You're in danger because of me."

Isha stepped forward.

"Then stay with me."

Lucian looked shattered.

He shook his head slowly.

"I'm the danger… and your only protection."

His hand hovered near her cheek—aching to touch, but refusing to.

"Isha… I cannot lose you. Not before I even understand why fate brought you to me."

Her heart twisted painfully.

"Then don't leave."

For a long, fragile moment…

Lucian just looked at her.

Then he whispered—

"I'll watch over you tonight. From the shadows."

It wasn't enough.

But it was everything.

And when he stepped back into the dark, vanishing once again…

Isha knew one thing with absolute certainty:

Fate wasn't done with them.

Not even close.
