Curtis and Jessica did not know, but Emily remembered what her son had said that morning and fully understood what Saphen's actions meant.
As for Cain, who had clearly looked furious and unwilling earlier that morning, he now actually indulged Saphen.
Cain placed the toy into Saphen's hands, then suddenly flopped down onto the carpet, panting. "I can't do it anymore, Fennie, I'm so tired. Can we take a break?"
Saphen looked at Cain and nodded.
Cain rolled around on the carpet and said happily, "Saphen, it's so soft. You should try rolling around too."
At that moment, Saphen suddenly opened his mouth and began coughing softly. Cain almost instantly sprang up from the carpet, extremely worried. "Fennie, what's wrong?"
By then, Emily had already come over. She gently patted Cain's head, then picked up Saphen and said with a light smile, "Cain, Saphen is tired, and you're tired too. Come play with Saphen again another day, alright?"
