Today was a peaceful workday. No more bouquets were delivered, and no male lead came by to cause trouble.
Saphen was rather surprised that Cain was being so obedient, but then again, it made sense. Cain was the type of male lead who cared deeply about his pride and honor. Coming back to send flowers to Saphen had probably already cost him a great deal of self-respect. Stopping now was not hard to understand.
6677 protested, "The male lead isn't that terrible!"
"Then why, in the plot, was he able to chase John for nearly a thousand chapters?" Saphen shot back directly.
6677: "…that was the plot's fault. This world has already gone completely off track. Can we stop talking about the plot now?"
Saphen chuckled without replying. He genuinely found 6677's bristling reaction amusing every time he spoke ill of the male lead.
That relaxed mood lasted until Saphen returned home.
It was still raining today, and Saphen was still holding the umbrella Cain had sent him yesterday.
