Camilla's POV
After what felt like an eternity wrapped in her arms, Eden finally released me from her embrace. The warmth from her hug still clung to my skin as my arms fell back to my sides. It was as if she had been trying to squeeze every last bit of resistance out of me, leaving me with no option but to surrender. I let out a quiet breath and managed a weak smile.
"Alright, if we're doing this together, I suppose I won't have any regrets," I said, though I wasn't sure if I was trying to convince her or myself.
"Of course you won't," she answered with that trademark confidence of hers, speaking as though she had already read the final chapter of a book I hadn't even opened yet. She clapped her hands together and spun toward her closet with renewed energy. "Now we need to tackle the real problem."
I raised an eyebrow and followed her across the room. "What problem?" I asked, watching her move with the determination of someone preparing for battle.
