Ana's POV
Morris swept me up and carried me all the way to his car.
Madeline and Lorena watched with wicked grins, both cupping their hands mockingly at their chests as they teased me from a distance.
Heat rushed to my face as embarrassment and irritation flooded through me. I wanted nothing more than to punch the man holding me.
Once we were in the car, I turned to face Morris with my most serious expression.
"Don't you dare pull something like that in front of people again."
"Or what?"
Morris put on an innocent act. "I only carried you down. Your foot's still hurt, isn't it?"
"My foot's fine now. I can walk a bit."
Staring at his fake innocent look, I realized there was no point trying to reason with him.
"They're always making jokes about us. You're just giving them more ammunition."
Morris's dark eyes grew intense as he shifted around the center console, leaning closer to me.
I immediately pressed back against my seat.
"What are you doing?"
