Irvin's fingers clamped around my wrist like a vise, his face twisted with rage.
"All these years we raised you, and this is the thanks we get?" His voice cut through me like broken glass. "So what if you're some Welch? You stole Aileen's life for years. You'll be paying that debt until you die.
"You better use that brain of yours. When you go crawling back to the Welch family, make damn sure they sign a long-term contract with us. Consider it settling accounts.
If you don't, I'll destroy your reputation so thoroughly you'll wish you'd never been born."
