Ana's POV
"Where do you think you're going? Today, we're settling this once and for all," Elodie declared.
She yanked me toward the private rooms upstairs. The second floor felt eerily quiet compared to the chaos of the first-floor lobby.
Elodie's grip was surprisingly fierce, and with her friends backing her up, I couldn't escape no matter how hard I fought.
When we reached the private room door and Elodie moved to open it, I seized my moment and grabbed a handful of her hair, pulling with everything I had.
Elodie shrieked and released me.
Her friends lunged for my hair immediately, but I whipped out pepper spray from my purse and sprayed it directly at them.
They wailed, clutching their faces and collapsing. I bolted through the confusion.
"Ana, you bitch, that's cheating!" Elodie's furious voice followed me.
I didn't dare slow down. I ran harder.
Thank God I always carried self-defense tools when I went out.
