Ana's POV
Morris moved closer, mimicking what I'd done earlier, his breath warm against my ear. "Edward probably spilled something to your brother."
I shot him a look, not bothering to respond. Of course it had to do with Grandpa Edward—but what I really needed to know was exactly what he'd said.
"Want to keep playing, or should we call it a night?" Morris murmured.
Before I could answer, tiny fingers tugged at my hand. I glanced down to find Althea's bright eyes staring up at me. "Sis, I've got something for you," she announced.
I looked over at Morris. "Guess we're putting this on hold."
Althea wrapped her small hand around mine, pulling me through the garden, past the long pavilion beside the main house, until we reached a private guesthouse about five hundred meters west of the estate.
"This is where Mom, Dad, and I live!" Althea beamed. "Your gift's in my room. Come on!"
The moment we walked inside, servants rushed around switching on lights and preparing tea.
