I looked at Eloise helplessly. "Madeline has already filled me in on everything—you're actually a secret rich heiress, not someone from a modest background."
Eloise shook her head. "But next to the Vernon family, I'm nobody special."
She straightened up and fixed me with an intense stare. "The Vernon are one of Marcel's most prominent wealthy families, even across all of Alverland, with assets worth hundreds of millions. Your brother consistently ranks in the top five on international wealth lists. Given your current financial status, do you really need to start a studio?"
I knew the Vernon Group had quite a reputation.
But hearing it from a friend made it feel oddly fascinating.
It seemed I hadn't truly understood the family I now called my own.
I simply replied, "Everyone needs to find their own worth. You're working hard in entertainment without depending on your family, aren't you?"
