Morris's voice carried that deep, magnetic quality that always managed to seep through with warmth whenever he spoke to me, no matter how much he might try to hide it.
He's actually making sense, I realized.
His gentle tone slowly dissolved the irritation that had been building in my chest.
When I went quiet, Morris steadied himself and carefully guided me toward our seats.
This fashion show felt pretty low-key. The whole production—from the staging to the clothing—seemed way more intimate than the bigger events I'd attended before.
But then I caught sight of someone I definitely hadn't expected to run into.
Nolan? I thought, completely taken aback.
When Nolan settled into the seat beside Morris, I leaned forward, eyes going wide. "Mr. Patterson, this is your show?"
I still couldn't quite believe it.
Nolan gave a nod. "I had a hand in it, just a small one."
There's no way Nolan would bother with a runway this size given his usual standards, I thought to myself.
