Morris's POV
A secluded villa sat on the city's outskirts, its gates casting long shadows in the fading evening light.
I slammed the accelerator to the floor, tearing down the road—made it there in record time.
Niall Hale was already posted by the entrance, waiting.
The second I pulled up, Niall jogged over.
He didn't waste time with pleasantries, diving straight into what had just gone down.
"News of Nate's death reached Linus Chester fast. With Ridley out of the picture too, Linus tried to bolt from the country—we caught him at the airport, barely."
"Guy hasn't fought back or spoken a word since we grabbed him."
"If anything, he's got this cocky look, like he's dead certain nothing will stick."
My expression stayed stone cold. "He's got protection. That's why he's not sweating it."
Niall's brow creased. "Who's covering for him?"
I kept my voice level, dropping just one name:
"Toby."
