We often reflect on ourselves, believing we already see the reflections of others.
Yet we act the other way around, trying to help our friends and family while neglecting our own flaws.
Mingyin walked forward with a faint smile on his face.
He was not a philosophical teacher or anything of that sort. Instead, he sought something so profound that even countless regressions would pale in comparison.
But now, Mingyin finally understood his own flaws.
He wanted to make both his father and mother proud.
He wanted to save everyone.
Yet instead, he restrained himself and stopped improving, even when he had the opportunity to correct his mistakes.
Mingyin had been sent five hundred years into the future.
Even though he was glad for the chance to fix his mistakes and achieve his goals, he felt deeply lonely.
He had no one to accompany him.
Mingyin even doubted himself. He was unsure whether he could awaken his Soul Core Formation—he was not even fully determined to try.
But one thing was certain.
I will live because I want to reflect on myself, not endlessly reflect on others.
I hope that one day, when I finally find a crack in my reflection, I will fix it.
No matter who you are—rich or poor—you must reflect on your mistakes.
I am… nothing more than a reflection, staring at my own reflection.
Mingyin could not help but smile as he carved a line into the ground with his dagger.
He stood up, pulled a rope from his sack, and tied it around a tree, tightening it carefully.
…
Far away, a field covered with nothing but flowers and grass could be seen.
Countless immortals stood there, lined up in silence, staring straight ahead.
Their faces were filled with fear. Dread crept into their hearts like a stalker hiding in the shadows, ready to strike at any moment.
They had been promised that nothing bad would happen.
Yet they still did not truly trust the Supreme Elder's words.
Then, the Supreme Elder spoke—his words shocking the entire crowd.
"Each of you who enters the Awakening Mountain will receive a Sage Artist artifact for free but it won't come handy !
The crowd gasped.surprise and cunfusion
How could there get free treasure right infront of they're eyes ?
However, Magman sensed something strange. He flew forward with a displeasure face and asked in a displeased tone,
"We can do it, but the mountain itself is no joke. It contains six different small realms within it."
"Before the destruction of the Sovereign Apex Sect, they attempted to claim this mountain, yet even they faced immense difficulty." How do you expect us to claim it ?
"People like us—insignificant existences—cannot contend with such a place."
"Those who entered spoke of terrifying secret realms forbidden to mortals, meant only for the Six Clans."
Magman tried to continue, but the Overlord sighed and waved his sleeve.
"I know that," he said calmly. "But that does not mean I have no plan. I have already prepared a strategy for capturing the mountain though the cost will be high."
"But…?" the Future Overlord asked cautiously.
The ruler of the Region Continent raised one finger.
"I can grant some of you Sage Artist artifacts at Stage Five. Most of you will receive Stage Four or Stage Three."
The entire crowd gasped.
Treasure—nothing but treasure!
They bowed deeply.
"Thank you, Lord of the Region Continent!"
Bootlicking filled the air as each where like riding on him not even caring about the consequences .
But the ruler merely snorted coldly, anger boiling in his gaze.
"What are you all smiling for?" he shouted not liking one bit what was happening .
"You think this is free? You all know you must give something in return—yet you smile? Have you already forgotten my answer?"
Fear replaced their joy. There where suddenly complicated what there have to do to get the artifact for them to claim the mountain .
"What do you mean…?"
The Future Overlord felt unease rise within him.
Then the Supreme Elder spoke again, shocking everyone. To the extent that some wanted nothing to do but tear him apart !
"There will be a battle. Whoever is strongest and kills the most will receive the Stage Five Sage Artifact."
"Only the top five will be rewarded." And that would happen exactly now !
"I need all those corpses for my daughter." You know I cronholl soul blood core formation ."
"Hehehehehe…"
The whole crowd Faces turned pale.
The Bronze Holder's eyes widened.
"No wonder Mingyin didn't come!"
The Future Overlord clenched his teeth.
"That kid knew this would happen… We are the fools."
The Woman of Peace burned with determination but gilded with some Terro.
"He already guessed it. But didn't he know refusing to come would still mean death? What is that kid planning?"
Magman narrowed his eyes.
"So that's why he didn't come. I bet he faked his aura. If he were truly a Sage Artist, he would dominate this place."
Magman said aready guests out what mingyun was planning .
The Peak Artist smiled faintly.
A massive blade appeared behind him. Holding its tip, he slowly sat upon the shimmering surface, gazing down with indifference.
"If you don't want to drown in a pool of blood," he said, "you'd better start now."
His stomach started to vibrate with golden light as
Six massive pillars were thrown down from the his belly !
They pierced deep into the earth, growing over a hundred feet tall. Showing divine light shining each of them
Chains of bone shot out, forming a visible barrier that sealed every exit.
Fear seized the crowd.
"The Pillars of Lightning!"
"Supreme Elder—do you have no mercy for your own people?!"
"No," someone muttered. "He doesn't."
The ruler merely laughed.not caring about the people opinion there where merely ants!
"Fools. Everything I do is for my family."
"Why hesitate?" he continued mockingly. "Haven't you all fought before?"
The crowd froze, faces twisted in disgust.
"From now on," the ruler laughed, "you are all enemies."
"Fight."
The battlefield trembled.
Future overlord lock eyes contact with magman as enemy started to surrender him
The true battle had start !
