Chapter 32 - Getting a Fighter Jet

Aaron said, "Alright, I see you don't know anything. You're just a hot-headed youth who's been kept in the dark."

"Come with me."

Aaron stopped questioning her. He was certain Skye hadn't lied, and continuing to ask would be pointless.

The Rising Tide? That elusive hacker organization? Heh, if they dared to offend Aaron, they only had themselves to blame.

Skye froze when she saw this. "Wha... what are you doing?"

"You!"

"Huh?"

Aaron looked at her with a half-smile. "Since you're already here, wouldn't it be a shame to leave without looking around?"

"Didn't you want to see what we're doing? Come, I'll take you to see for yourself."

Without allowing Skye to refuse, Aaron grabbed her and walked toward the building.

Regardless of Skye's initial intentions, now that she had stepped through this door, she shouldn't expect to leave easily.

At the same time, his brain connected to nearby signals and he sent a text message to Felicia, telling her to drive the car to an uninhabited area.

Skye was very reluctant. She felt like the Osborn Industries Building was a gaping prehistoric beast—easy to enter, difficult to leave.

She wanted to leave, but Aaron's hand was unshakeable, like an iron clamp.

Skye was forced into the building, under the curious gaze of the other people.

Aaron brought her to the laboratory building.

"Boss!"

It was Norman again.

Noticing Skye beside Aaron, Norman glanced at her curiously and said, "I have already contacted Dr. Helen Cho. She will arrive promptly at three o'clock this afternoon."

Aaron nodded and looked at a person in the distance who was staring in their direction.

Norman looked over and quickly said, "That is the secretary of the U.S. Air Force Supreme Commander. He is here about that matter."

Aaron realized. "Is the Air Force Commander that impatient?"

Norman said, "After all, he is old, and it is rumored that he recently contracted lung cancer. Although it has not been confirmed, it's probably true."

"In any case, he highly values our research and hopes to have his secretary assist us. If we need anything, we can contact him at any time."

"Even a fighter jet?" Aaron had a flash of inspiration.

He currently had many abilities, but he lacked the ability to fly. While webs were good, they were significantly inferior compared to flight.

Aaron had considered finding certain flying units to melt, such as supersonic frigatebirds or peregrine falcons. But comparatively, if he could get a fighter jet directly, that would clearly be better.

Norman was stunned, then thought for a moment and said, "No problem. Are there any other requests?"

Aaron said without hesitation, "The sooner, the better, and the more advanced, the better."

Norman nodded. He turned around, and exchanged a few words with the person.

Skye rolled her eyes. "Can't you tell? An Air Force General couldn't possibly agree to such an outrageous request."

That would be equivalent to treason. Surely the brave and fearless General wouldn't accept this request.

Aaron said mysteriously, "That's not necessarily true."

Before long, the man walked over and enthusiastically shook Aaron's hand.

"Mr. Aaron, I heard from Mr. Norman that you currently lack a vehicle suitable for your status. When General Ronald heard this, he immediately felt that an outstanding individual like you needs a ride that is absolutely fantastic."

"For example... a fighter jet. We are willing to provide you with a fighter jet as your personal vehicle. It definitely won't be inferior to Mr. Stark's armor."

Under Skye's shocked, surprised, and disbelieving gaze, the secretary continued, "So, Mr. Aaron, do you require the higher performance F-22, or the faster F-15?"

"Of course, we also have the faster YF-12A interceptor and the Blackbird reconnaissance aircraft, but considering those are decades-old relics, they might not suit your status."

"No! You can't do this! Th... this is treason." Skye felt her worldview shatter.

Was this still the military she remembered? Blatant treason?

The secretary looked at Skye suspiciously, as if asking, 'Is this woman not one of us?'

"Ignore her." Aaron shook his head. "Let's continue."

The secretary nodded, thought for a moment, and said, "Madam, Mr. Aaron is the most outstanding individual in the U.S., as well as a major taxpayer and a patriot. Please stop slandering us."

"We are merely representing the Air Force to express our regards to Mr. Aaron."

This utterly ridiculous statement left Skye dumbfounded.

Oh no, the U.S. is finished.

Aaron thought for a moment and said, "I want them all."

The secretary froze. A slightly aged voice came through his headset. "Agree to his request."

The secretary immediately returned to normal. "No problem, we are happy to serve you."

"Only..."

"Please thank General Ronald for me. This afternoon, Norman will deliver a gift to him."

Aaron glanced at Skye and added, "This is an early Christmas present, a unique and truly perfect gift."

"I believe General Ronald will be so happy he'll feel ten years younger."

The secretary could feel the heavy breathing coming through his earpiece.

His face was wreathed in smiles as he said, "Then thank you for your generosity."

Skye was dumbfounded. I need to report this, they are blatantly making an under-the-table deal.

A Christmas present? It's only freaking May. You should at least use a logical excuse.

Aaron and the secretary had another friendly exchange for a while.

In reality, Aaron was conversing with the Air Force Commander, Ronald. Both parties were extremely satisfied with this cooperation.

Skye, who witnessed all of this, had dull eyes, looking like a walking corpse.

Finally, under the signal of General Ronald, the secretary subtly reminded him.

If you have needs, tanks, individual weapons, and artillery can also be considered. Even Marine warships can be slowly negotiated.

We are all patriots, there's no need to be so formal.

The Air Force doesn't have them, but the Marine and Army do.

Everyone is human and has needs, we each take what we require.

Oh, wait, it should be called military cooperation.

Yes, Aaron instantly transformed into a U.S. Air Force Military advisor.

At the same time, Osborn Industries also became an important partner of the military.

However, Osborn Industries is different from Hammer Industries and Stark Industries.

They will not provide any military industrial order cooperation, nor will they help the military produce even a single weapon or piece of ammunition.

They only serve the upper echelon of the military. These people truly represent the military.

Throughout the entire process, this secretary was extremely warm and polite, unconsciously walking one step slower than Aaron.

It was only at the very end that he casually reminded him, "Mr. Aaron, please forgive my presumption, but your secretary might need some proper training."

"Don't misunderstand, I don't mean anything else. I'm just saying that our generals are also very knowledgeable in this area. If there's a chance, you can discuss it with our generals."

The secretary showed a smile that all men understood.

After hearing this, Skye completely gave up on the military.

These scoundrels in the military, who take taxpayers' money but fiercely profit for themselves, even selling off major national assets, were already marked with an X in Skye's heart.

She wanted to expose them.

These parasites, from top to bottom, should all be purged.
