August, a new schedule for academic school year after pandemic happen. COVID-19 make everyone prinsoners in their own home. Now i see students, parents , and teachers here in school that I didn't saw in 2 years . They look like a prisoners that released after 99 years in prison.
I see how they excited to meet there old friend even though they saw each other daily. In other side, I see parents comforting their toodllers because they don't want to go to school.' Pssshhh first timers',In that aged, I already walk my self going back home.
Walking further inside the school, I see the huge name of our school in the top of the auditurium that I almost forgot.
"Don Robert Public School"
A school that no matter what happens, they will protect it's reputation like there life depends on it. Well, that reality. They will protect the thing that useful to their own gain. I still remember back then that they want the students to sign their waiver if they want to play on intrams because the waiver said that if the players are injured is the school has no liability, thats why.
However,they didn't post the list of class in their page, they want us to find it on first day of school year , which is right now.
6:00 am its still early,so i decided to find first my section before the flag ceremony start in 7:30.
11th grade has a fourth floor building that has a 16 room and each classroom has a students at the door that has a paper on it. They're finding their names and they walk away if they don't. I didn't find my name on the first classroom so I go to the second but failed. It's already 7:00 but I still didn't find my room, I'm now in the 15 room , I look on the paper at the door , hoping that my name is in there but no. Im already panicking and thinking that maybe my name didn't include. My last hope , I'm going right now on the 16 room.
Mine while, I'm on my way on the last room , I'm excited to look on the paper but to my surprise, there's no paper stick to the door . I'm confused. While still confused,a person suddenly bumbed into me, i look on that person but he didn't even look and apologize,he keep running like someone chasing him, and my theory is right because after that another boy followed , holding a spatula...,... WAIT ?!! WHAT?????? A FREAKING SPATULA????
I didn't mind them and focusing how earth I'm gonna find my classroom.
"After the flag ceremony, they will stick the last class list"
A familiar sweet voice suddenly spoke behind me. I turn around and saw Malou smile at me with her shoulder bag.
This person didn't change,it's already start of the school year but still didn't bought school supplies, it's her doing since grade 7.
Malou has a white skin, round face, beautiful body and wavy frizzy hair but complement on her skin, she is also half inch taller than me. She's right now wearing a white top and black trousers with a white shoes.
"Did you already find your section, Malou?"
I ask her, maybe she can help me to find my section too.
"No I didn't, I also waiting to this room ,kira. Well we're not the only one waiting actually because they're already on the audit..""
Before Malou finish her sentence, the alarm of the school rang. The alarm only rang every Monday indicating that the flag ceremony is about to start.
Before i could react, Malou put her arm to mine and drag my ass on the way to the auditurium.
I step my foot inside and shocked because the place is already full capacity.
" All senior high school, line here"
A teacher yell so we immediately obey her order , Malou and I get to the line before other take it .
It's cloudy outside and windy, also they open the windows that's why the wind going inside that giving us chill so even though it's too crowded here in the auditurium, it's not too hot .
Of course!! on the first day of school there is always have a welcoming greet from our beloved principal, , meet with the new teacher, faculties and a lot of messages.... . Etc .
I didn't understand what are they talking about on the front, I roam around and saw that I'm not the only one that didn't listen, even the teachers just busy on they cellphone.
How could we understand if their speaker is malfunctioning and also their mic is not in the mood to work so the principal decided to end already the ceremony.
"That's all and you can now go back to your respective class room"
After the principal said it, I saw that all students going to the exit that actually right behind us, so i grab Malou's arm and exit the place Before we get swept away by the flood composed of students .
We pass at the canteen and decided to buy something to eat while walking to the classroom. Malou as usual bought her favorite drink and snack , Pepsi and mang Juan .
"For God sake,Malou! It's still early in the morning, it's still not even 8:00 and now you're drinking soft drink!!!!"
"Ohhhh come on kira , my waist is still fine"
I shoke my head in disbelief. We are now on the hallway of the building and saw that the classroom is already open so we ran and immediately look at the list and felt joy when I see my name and also Malou's name on the list, which means we're on same class
We sat on the two chairs because obviously we don't want to be seated in front
We seat properly when the teacher is step inside the classroom but before she could speak. A two girl enter the room with fast breathing like they run from baguio to La Union.
The teacher raise her eyebrow and look at the girls from head to toe.
"Why are you two late?? It's first day of school and yet you show this kind of attitude??"
The teacher spoke while still looking that the two girls. They are both tall , half inch taller than Malou.
"Blame her miss , she just right now poop at the Comfort Room And even fart like she store that sh*t on months"
The chubby girl point her finger at the other girl.
"Hey!! Don't take the blame on mee.. ..
I'm just the one who farted but I didn't poop,you are and I'm the one who guard you outside".
The room burst out laughing, for God sake they just not fighting in front of us, they're fighting in front of our teacher.
"ENOUGH"
I silently laugh because they immediately shut their mouth when our adviser spoke .They look good together and maybe fun to accompany.
The one girl has a chubby body but still look good , brown skin, doe eyes and highlightes hair with perfect teeth.
While the other one has a hour glass body, almond eyes, light brown skin with honey brown color eyes
I stop scanning them when the teacher spoke
"Hello everyone, I'm your class adviser. You can call me ma'am Johnson. So! Since you two are late maybe you can introduce yourselves first "
I silently laugh again when the skinny girl hide behind ma'am Johnson, indicating that the chubby girl go first . The chubby girl roll her eyes on the skinny but the skinny girl looks like enjoying teasing her friend with a teasing smile.
"Hello everyone, I'm Charlie Jane Gonzales nice to meet all of you"
I bow sideward at Malou and whisper
"Maybe she's your long lost sister hahahhahah"
She smack my shoulder and signal me to shut up. Well it's kinda hurt . The skinny girl turn now. She step forward and introduce herself.
"Hello good morning everyone, My name is Ellie Joanah Dela Torre"
Well she has a natural girl voice,more than girly than Malou.
Charlie and Ellie sat in front of us ....
And they are so loud . . ....
"Sage, did you know"(Ellie)
"No I didn't" (sage)
I stop listening to them when Malou stand up. I didn't know I'm next .
"Good day, I'm Mary Louise Gonzales nice meet you all"
Malou smile at them.
And now me, I stand up and can feel their stare even ma'am Johnson. I walked slow them finaly, I'm at the front . My stage fright is awakening. I can see clearly their judging eyes. I inhale deeply and exhale.
"Good morning everyone, I'm Akira Monroe Martinez, and nice meeting you all"
I go back to my seat but before that someone bumped my shoulder but didn't mind it. There is someone last to introduce and he also already called before I could go to my seat.
I scan him because he's seems familiar,then I realized he's the one who bumped into me at the room 16 and didn't even apologize.
He's in the front, with a calm face and ready to introduce.
"Pleasure to meet all of you, I am Zachiel Lucas Delgado"
