Chapter 7 - The Return of the Western Lioness to Ohio: Sleeping on the Enemy's Back

"Do you realize you have to go?!" El screamed at me.

"I'm coming now!" I yelled back from the mirror, where I had almost finished packing my beauty products. When I reached her, she grabbed my suitcase. I grabbed the remaining backpack from the bed. The whole team was already at the stadium. Seeing me, they started boarding the bus that would take us to the airport.

"I'm going to miss you, Lu," my friend hugged me.

"Me too, but I'll only be gone for three days," I laughed.

"Still. Remember: no boys, you have to win, annoy Niall," she instructed.

"And for you: don't betray Louis, buy me food when I get back, try to annoy the teachers," she just nodded. "Besides, are you and Louis a couple yet?" She shook her head. As I was walking away, she shouted:

"What do you mean? You know something! When you come back, you must tell me everything!" she yelled as I climbed onto the bus.

"Where do I sit?!" I called out.

"Here!" Jake waved at me from the back. Behind him sat Niall and Louis, with two other guys whose names I couldn't remember. Perfect...

Sitting down, I put on music through my headphones and leaned my head on Jake's shoulder. Since he didn't mind, I decided to sleep. Just as I was about to fall asleep, my chair started kicking.

"Don't push your luck!" I snarled. Niall and Louis started laughing, but my seat was still moving. Annoyed, I stood up next to Niall, who was now looking at me strangely. I grabbed his hand and pulled him towards me, and he tumbled onto the floor. I lay down on his back and tried to sleep while the others stared at me strangely. Finally, I fell asleep.

Louis's POV:

I was the first to laugh hysterically at Niall, who didn't know what to do. The others sitting near us joined me.

"You could help instead of snickering," Niall grumbled, but I was still laughing. He tried to move, but Lu just mumbled something and prevented him from doing so. The coach came over to us.

"Just... How?" He was barely holding back his laughter.

"Niall was annoying her," I said, snorting.

"No... but... just get her off the bus. We're getting off in five minutes," he sighed and walked away.

"Niall, you carry her," I said.

"Why me?!"

"Because you! I don't want to because I almost have a girlfriend, I'm lazy, and you like her," I dictated.

"I don't like her!" he growled angrily. "I can't stand her. She always does something bad."

"More precisely, she outsmarts you, improves on you, mocks you," he nodded. "I agree, Tubby," I laughed.

"Just get her off me first. Please!" he whined. I got up from my seat, and when Niall was up, I handed her to him. "Will you take my stuff?"

"Yeah. You only have one bag anyway," I shrugged.

"Let's go!" the coach yelled. "And, Niall, I wish you to stay alive when you wake her up," he gave him a sympathetic smile. Now I was scared because he's her uncle and knows her perfectly.

After checking the luggage, it was time to wake Luanna.

"Luanna, wake up!" Niall shouted and started shaking her in his arms. She just hissed at him to shut up and kept sleeping. The blonde tried every way to wake her but failed. "Coach, she won't wake up!" he complained.

He laughed and came over to us.

"Now you'll hear the magic words that will easily wake her up," he smiled strangely. "Lu, wake up! Niall is eating your food!" he yelled, and she shot up from her sleep and fell to the floor. She winced in pain, and everyone else stared at her with their mouths open.

"You guys should find girlfriends instead of staring at me," she mumbled, sitting up and rubbing her back.

"You woke up from the same words as Niall," I quickly said.

"So? If Tubby wakes up when you shout about his food, that's not surprising," she said simply.

"I am not fat!" Niall shouted.

"Believe that if it helps you sleep easier," you could see her provoking him. He was angry as usual. "Louis," she whined and stood up.

"No!" I quickly answered, knowing what she would want.

"Jake, can you carry me?" she asked sweetly.

"Sure," he said, and turned his back so she could climb on.

"From now on, know that he's my best friend, and if you insult him or do anything to him, you'll suffer from me," she said seriously, hugging him. Jake just smiled like an idiot, and I'd say he likes her if he wasn't gay.

"What about El?" I laughed.

"She's my best friend too," she replied.

"Whatever you say," I smiled.

Luanna's POV:

"Henri, I don't want to sit next to Niall! I want to sit next to Jake!" I argued.

"You'll sit between Louis and Niall. That's it," he said more angrily, and everyone sat in their places. I took out my phone and headphones so I could watch a movie.

"Want to watch?" I asked Louis. He nodded. I handed him one earbud and started the movie. Since the flight wasn't very long, the movie and the flight ended at the same time.

At the Hotel

"You'll live in groups of three or two," the coach explained. "Luanna will live with..." Everyone raised their hands except Louis and Niall. "Louis and Niall," he said, and I immediately got angry.

"No! I'm not living with him! Louis is tolerable, but not Niall!" I protested. "Why can't I be with Jake?!"

"Because I said so!" he looked at me angrily. "Your room will be 706," he said, and tossed the keys into Louis's hand.

I sighed and realized I couldn't change anything, so I followed Louis to the elevator. I was going to the city soon anyway. It was only half-past four. Our room was quite large and nice. I immediately grabbed clothes to change and ran into the shower.

"Lu, hurry up!" Louis yelled. "I need the toilet and the shower! The toilet!" he shrieked.

"Just a minute!" I said, gathering my things. I unlocked the door, and he rushed in immediately, and I ran out. Niall was lying on the bed, ignoring what was happening. Having packed the necessary things in my handbag, I was almost out the door.

"Where are you going?" Louis blocked my path.

"To the city. Come on, Louis, just move," I whined.

"We're coming with you."

"Who's 'we'?" I frowned.

"Me, Niall, Jake, Josh," he listed, gathering his things.

"Um, no!" I screamed, running out the door. Once I was outside the door, I slowed down and started walking at a normal pace. As I walked, I looked for a bar, because around six o'clock they should be opening.

I saw one after about five minutes of searching. Music was already playing, and there was a line at the door. I walked up to the bouncer and poked his shoulder.

"Luanna?! I thought I wouldn't see you here again," we high-fived. "What brought you here?"

"I made it onto the college football team, so we have a game," I laughed.

"Well, you should just say you're the captain," Ben laughed. "Have fun!" he said, letting me through the door.

In case you're wondering, Ben is an acquaintance of mine from when I vacationed for two weeks in Ohio. I was already a party lioness, and almost all the bars and people my age here know me.

Inside, the smell of alcohol wafted, and people were dancing cheerfully to the music. I walked up to the bar.

"Luanna?" Matt, who was working as a bartender, hugged me.

"The one and only!" I laughed.

"Well, the usual for you, right?" he raised an eyebrow, and I just nodded. After a while, he brought three cocktails. I downed them all and, already slightly tipsy, ran to the dance floor.
