"Even though you lost, your performance has earned my full respect. You're truly the rival of my lifetime!"
Kakashi: "Tch. Who needs your approval? Besides, that's the future — I'm still alive right now."
"From what we've seen, the future can still be changed. So everything is back to being uncertain."
Might Guy flashed a bright grin: "That's right! Next time, we'll fight him together! We'll definitely defeat that guy!"
Chōji: "Dad! Waaah! I swear, in the future, I'll protect you!"

Shikamaru patted Chōji on the shoulder.

Chōza smiled warmly: "Thank goodness, Chōji… you're alive."
Chōji sobbed uncontrollably: "Dad… you protected me with your life…"
Might Guy finally let go of Kakashi's neck: "You really are my eternal rival. Even after that attack, you didn't die!"
Kakashi looked utterly confused.
Wait… didn't I take that black rod to the head?
Why… am I still alive?
At this point, Kakashi had not yet mastered Kamui, so he had no idea what happened.

Tobi silently stared at the footage of Kakashi.It was impossible to read his expression beneath the mask, but his eyes revealed a trace of thought.

[Asura Path moved again, this time pouring all its energy into one massive bomb — aimed directly at Chōji.]
[Kakashi's eyes widened in horror.]
"Damn it — he's targeting Chōji! Trying to stop him from delivering the intel to the Hokage!"
[Kakashi shouted:]
"Chōji, run! You have to get that intel to Lady Tsunade! You're our only hope now!"
[Chōji forced himself to his feet and started running toward the Hokage Tower.]

[Asura Path fired a homing bomb at Chōji.]
[Kakashi began evaluating the situation.]
"With the chakra I have left, I can't take out his whole body…"
"If I use this jutsu one more time, I'll be completely out of strength and chakra. My life might…"
"Giving this intel to a survivor — that's the best move I can make for Konoha right now."
[Kakashi used Kamui — and the homing bomb vanished into thin air.]

Sasuke narrowed his eyes.
"Kakashi-sensei… if I'm not mistaken, that jutsu was a dōjutsu powered by your Sharingan, wasn't it?"
Kakashi fell silent, deep in thought.

Yūhi Kurenai: "Chōza, Kakashi… to think even the two of you…"
