Kushina clenched her fists, wishing she could jump in and fight for him.
Minato, meanwhile, looked deeply worried.
"Orochimaru is clearly provoking him on purpose."
"Why would he do that?" Kushina growled.
"Kushina… as a former jinchūriki, you know that using the Nine-Tails' power puts a huge strain on the body."
Kushina froze—then anger exploded across her face.
"Three tails already brought Naruto to his limit! If Orochimaru pushes him into Four-Tails—!"
She knew too well:
Even if Naruto's consciousness stayed intact, his body couldn't withstand that monstrous power.
"Damn it! Minato, can't we help Naruto?!"
Minato said, "Yamato should be able to suppress it. And Naruto has Hashirama's necklace… he should be safe. Probably."

The Fourth Raikage A narrowed his eyes.
"What technique is Orochimaru using? Instant regeneration?"
Orochimaru's previously severed arm had already grown back.
Mabui looked nauseated.

Chōjūrō exhaled in relief—he had truly feared Terumi Mei would go find Orochimaru.
"Chōjūrō," Mei suddenly said, "do you think I could beat Tsunade?"
Chōjūrō nearly fell over.
"Lady Mizukage—are we… are we going to attack Konoha?!"
Tsunade was clearly destined to become the Fifth Hokage.
Attacking her was no different from attacking Konoha.
Mei rolled her eyes.
"Why would I attack Konoha? I just want to beat Tsunade so she'll hand over her secret youth technique."
Hidden Stone Village
Kurotsuchi rushed in.
"Grandpa, we've received intel—the Fourth Kazekage was assassinated by Orochimaru."
Ōnoki's face turned dark.
"If Orochimaru leaves Konoha alive, send someone to eliminate him. He's too dangerous."
Hidden Sand Village
Chiyo nodded grimly.
"No wonder the Fourth Kazekage lost. Disgusting as he is, he is one of the Legendary Sannin."
The scene continued.
"Aaaah!"
The fourth tail of Nine-Tails chakra emerged.
But Naruto did not immediately attack Orochimaru.
Instead—
He was in agonizing pain.
He could no longer control himself.
The Nine-Tails' chakra rampaged—
Naruto's skin split open, exposing raw flesh and blood.
And that wasn't all—
The chakra darkened into black, becoming even closer to the Nine-Tails' original malevolence.
"This feeling is different from before…"
Orochimaru's face twisted in excitement.

"Naruto! Stay strong! Don't let that stupid fox take over!"
Minato shouted, "Naruto! Stay conscious!"
Kushina's temper exploded.
"KURAMA!! If you dare hurt my son, I'll rip you apart myself!"
Minato: "Kurama!! Stop this at once!!"
Inside Naruto's Seal — Eight Trigrams Cage
Suddenly—
The seal glowed.
Kurama, previously sulking in the cage, jolted violently.
"Damn it!"
"That's Kushina's and Minato's chakra!"
"They're dead—how are they still interfering with me?!"
"Unless… no… don't tell me they—"
He trembled.
Konoha — Chūnin Exam Arena
Sasuke stared at the vision—
Naruto's body tearing apart just to save him.
His chest tightened.
"Naruto…"
Naruto grinned, completely oblivious to Sakura staring at him.
"Sasuke~! Just watch! I'll beat Orochimaru and bring you home!"
Sasuke snapped his head away.
"Tch! I told you—I don't need saving!"
Hinata was crying.
"N-Naruto-kun… I'll get stronger… I'll help you save Sasuke… so you won't have to suffer like that…"
Sakura's expression was a storm of emotions.
She and Naruto were teammates
—yet the gap between them had grown into an abyss.
Seeing her own future self faint helplessly…
Seeing Naruto's future self endure torture for a friend…
Sakura wanted to crawl into a hole.
The scene continued.
Scene shift.
Sakura, saved by Yamato, finally regained consciousness.
"Huh? What… happened?"
She looked at the utter devastation around her—
and froze.
Sai:
"The real problem is Naruto."
