Chapter 42 - Type-Moon Card Pool

The pitch-black young dragon was one of the Divine Assassins. After Levi killed it, he naturally completed the system's Main Quest 3.

As a fixed reward, he received three Crystals of Law.

[Crystal of Law: Used to purchase certain items in the Exchange Shop and for pulls on banners Lv.5 and above.]

At the same time, the Exchange Shop was activated.

The number of items in the Exchange Shop wasn't particularly large, setting aside the magic stones, metals, herbs, and drop items from the Dungeon, which were meant to be exchanged for Valis vouchers.

In total, only two items were useful to Levi.

The first was Crystals of Law, which could be purchased for 100 million Valis or Valis vouchers each, with a monthly limit of 15.

The second was the Gacha Pool Solidification Ticket, exchangeable with Crystals of Law. Its effect was:

[Gacha Pool Solidification Ticket: After using it on the current rate-up event banner, it will be converted into a standard banner, and the next round of event banners will immediately begin.]

Levi had awakened the 'Constellation Resonance' skill, so he was fine for now as he had already reached his maximum number of resonated constellations. However, in the future, as his 'Genshin' Development Ability leveled up, he would inevitably need to pull for more constellations.

Therefore, after a moment's hesitation, he used one of the Crystals of Law he had just obtained and immediately spent the acquired Gacha Pool Solidification Ticket on the Genshin banner.

Within his vision, a seven-colored stream of light quietly flashed.

When the change subsided, the Genshin banner, which was previously prefixed with 'Event Banner,' had now become a standard banner with no time limit, just like the DanMachi banner!

Simultaneously, a new banner was forming on the event banner page.

[Event Banner: Type-Moon Lv.1/Lv.2/Lv.3 (40 days until banner closes)](30 days is the fixed rate-up time for the banner, 10 days are carried over from the Genshin banner)

[Banner Contents:]

[5-star (Lv.3, unspecified, +20% base rate-up for corresponding item after specifying): Mid-Tier Magic Crest Exchange Ticket... [4-star (Lv.2, unspecified, +20% base rate-up for corresponding item after specifying): Low-Tier Magic Crest Exchange Ticket... [3-star (Lv.1, unspecified, +20% base rate-up for corresponding item after specifying): Baji Quan · Skill Book, Cooking · Skill Book... Tenacity · Craft Essence, Concentration · Craft Essence, Revelation · Craft Essence...]

[Low-star items of the same level are identical to the standard banner]

Appearing after the Genshin banner was the Type-Moon banner, whose power ceiling was similarly high!

Setting aside items available in all banners like Ability Score Exchange Vouchers and Proficiency Boost Vouchers.

The exchangeable items in the Type-Moon banner could be roughly divided into four main categories.

Skill Books, Crests, Craft Essences, and Spirit Origins.

The most common and numerous, needless to say, were the skill books, ranging from 3-star martial and support skills, to 4-star basic or Minor Thaumaturgy, to 5-star Greater Thaumaturgy that utilized leylines (mana in the air). If Levi's predictions were correct, when he reached Lv.4 and unlocked the 6-star banner, it was highly likely he would unlock Greater Magecraft like Reality Marbles, or perhaps even one of the Five Magics.

That being said, he didn't plan to spend Valis specifically to pull for magecraft.

To be more precise, not just to pull for magecraft.

Because...

The Magic Crests, which appeared starting from the Lv.2 banner, already came with a relatively complete system of magecraft.

[Low-Tier/Mid-Tier Magic Crest Exchange Ticket: Upon use, you can specify and exchange for the family crest belonging to a magus who has reached the rank of Count / Fes, and implant it into your body without side effects.]

[Note: A Magic Crest comes with its own magecraft and related knowledge, and its rank can be upgraded by subsequently implanting more magecraft or Type-Moon world magic.]

[Note: A magus can only possess one Magic Crest. Magic Crests from the same family name can be merged.]

Levi had previously mastered the 'Decree' skill through resonating with the Pristina Nola Constellation, which allowed him to bypass the magic slot limits of the DanMachi world to a certain extent.

But who would complain about having too many spells? Even a simple offensive spell like 'gandr' would be quite effective for clearing out ordinary monsters in the Dungeon.

He was definitely going to get a Magic Crest next.

But as for which type to choose...

Levi glanced at the Spirit Origins that began appearing in the Lv.2 banner and ultimately decided to develop in the direction of spiritual evocation.

[Low-Tier/Mid-Tier Spirit Origin Exchange Ticket: Upon use, you can specify and obtain one Saber/Archer/Lancer/Rider/Caster/Assassin/Berserker class Spirit Origin piece (Low-Tier/Mid-Tier).]

[Note: If you have already obtained Heroic Spirit Summoning or a similar skill, you can summon the soul of a deceased individual with the 'Hero' status from the current world, manifesting them as a Servant.]

[Note: The current world is the DanMachi world. After adaptation, a Low-Tier Spirit Origin can summon the soul of a deceased adventurer who reached Lv.2 in life, a Mid-Tier Spirit Origin can summon the soul of a deceased adventurer who reached Lv.3~Lv.4, and a High-Tier Spirit Origin can summon the soul of a deceased adventurer who reached Lv.5 or higher.]

Although the Type-Moon world has various parallel worlds, each with its own unique characteristics, the most well-known aspect is undoubtedly its Heroic Spirit Summoning system.

After adapting to the DanMachi world, it had changed to summoning the souls of dead adventurers.

Because of his built-in gacha system, Levi was reluctant to trust other adventurers.

Even with Tsubaki, with whom he had the deepest association, it was only because she was backed by the goddess Hephaestus, who in turn was his own goddess's best friend and wouldn't easily leak his information.

But this created a new problem.

Relying on himself alone, even if his true combat power reached Lv.5 or even Lv.6, while it wasn't impossible to venture into the Dungeon floors below the 25th, it would certainly increase the probability of encountering various accidents and dangers.

And if he stayed in the Middle Floors to farm, it would be safe, but his Valis income would be drastically reduced.

As the saying goes, it's easy to go from frugal to lavish, but hard to go the other way.

Having enjoyed the rapid growth in power brought by 200 million Valis, forcing Levi to return to his income of a few hundred thousand per day from a week ago...

Anyone would find it unbearable.

Besides, even if he was willing to farm at the lowest efficiency for safety's sake, he still had to find a way to achieve the great feats required for his future level-ups.

Tsubaki's Falna was at Lv.5, and she wasn't even considered top-tier at that level.

She was fine for watching over him while he accumulated the excelia to reach Lv.4, but starting from the push to Lv.5, she clearly wouldn't be able to help.

Thus, after considering all these factors, a conclusion quickly formed in Levi's mind...3
