Chapter 19 - Ch. 18: Secret Room

Once inside the room, Alice's heart was still racing. In all her life, she has never felt such strong love. So strong, her face went out red like a tomato before she finally shook her head to get rid of that thought.

"It's not good. I can't like that man," she assured, who was worried that if she liked him then the person on his side would be disappointed in him.

"Ah, right."

Switching from a far-sighted view towards the key given by Gerald. The key has a metallic white color with a circle 20 millimeters in diameter, there is a gear underneath it like a common house door when compared to Alice's old world door as Nia, the key to the rented door.

"If I want to check out that room, I have to do it at night."

Knowing that the place was heavily guarded by both elite knights, that Alice might not be allowed inside. Especially at the age of about 6 at once she was a direct descendant of royal blood, her grandfather, Arga, was unlikely to allow his granddaughter to go there.

"Well, I'll do it later."

For now, Alice can only focus not on romance but on surviving in this world from her previous unknown enemy to understanding that it was Edi, the father of her friend Ken.

"It's better if I go to the library."

Nodding on her, she quietly sneaked out of her room using a blanket and her clothes by being tied to one of the iron canopy mattresses to get out of her room through the window.

Once successful, she immediately pulled the rope firmly so that it could be detached easily and then put it in without anyone's knowledge.

Quickly, she hides behind the bushes and heads to the library west of the castle. There, no one at this hour makes it easier for Alice to gain more knowledge.

When the double door opened 3 meters high in metallic white, with a metallic brown libra symbol, she entered the library area and closed it back from the inside with her small body.

Once successful, she looked around. Realizing that she had never been to the library in this place but one, on the east side of the castle. Whereas this, this is Alice's first time here.

"Alright. Time to read a book."

That way, Alice scoured every bookshelf making sure to look for the book she wanted.

All the books on each shelf she passes are neatly arranged in a flat size that has been categorized according to the type so someone doesn't bother looking for them because they have been neatly arranged without having to look for them on other bookshelves.

"First, I take about the general knowledge book."

Luckily, the book was in this library so it made it easier for Alice to learn about the next chapter that had been delayed before.

"Second, the book on physical exercise."

There was a lack of satisfaction with her training, Alice also looked for books about physical training on other shelves. Staying on the first floor of the other three floors, she

who kept searching until she found it put it on the table in the middle of the room.

By the way, the light inside the place uses golden crystal stones. The light is similar to a small neon light but can be as bright as a house with shades of orange and yellow that become one so it's not completely dark.

"I think this is enough."

Sitting in a chair, Alice immediately read one book at a time without caring what was outside.

After reading for a long time, the finished Alice was relieved.

She moved from a brown wooden chair to browse every shelf on the first, second, and third floors of the library.

"The layout is the same. Nothing's changed."

From what she sees, each shelf has 20 parallel shelves lined up on each shelf with two to three people on each floor.

On the first floor, the categories are of various types, such as; general knowledge, magic, physical, monster contracts, geology about the city, geology about the area around the city, labyrinths and dungeons all complete there.

On the second and third floors, they only have about 10 different shelves from the first floor.

Most books on the second and third floors have a lot about magic, physique, and general knowledge, especially about herbs and ores of material.

"Huh?"

Unintentionally, Alice noticed one of the bookshelves on the wall in the north was different from the others. Using a nearby dragged chair, she climbed up and set a table nearby to climb to reach the top of the bookshelf that had one different size than the other.

"Why are there different books here?"

When the book was about to be taken, the book clung firmly to Alice, squeezing every ounce of her power at the age of six, to lift it.

"Why... I can't..."

She wondered if this was a book or if this wasn't a book, she really didn't know about it.

When the book is lifted, suddenly the bookshelf shifts to make Alice, who loses her balance, suddenly falls with her hips landing on the floor first. She wailed in pain.

"Ouch... It hurts so much."

Immediately rising from the fall, Alice put the chair and table back where it was.

She who returned to the place was surprised by an aisle that was about 3 meters high, with surrounding materials more like asphalt, with a width of 2 meters. There's a ladder of white marble that's got her confused as to where this ladder is headed.

"Amazing."

Because Alice was amazed at the secret room rather than surprised at the beginning, the spirit of young girl otaku as Nia rose makes her look eager to find out what awaits in the inner room, where the stairs of white marble lead downwards.

Alice entered a room similar to a hallway, the door that opened behind closed showing only darkness. Soon enough, the sea blue crystalline light glowed dimly enough to illuminate the downward circular passageway.

While the walls were made along the passageways of brick, it was quite smooth without roughing with the white color adjusting the existing marble. For marine blue crystals, it is more like an outboard lamp such as a mini lantern at a height of 2 meters with a distance of 1 meter each between them.

Alice's footsteps echoed in the silence. There was curiosity and anticipation that filled her heart, Alice only hoped she would find the treasure in the secret room later.

As Alice's view finally widened after coming out of a circular hallway with white marble steps and white brick walls, she saw a room that was 5 meters long, with four shelves on either side of the room no more than 1 meter high, more likely to line up sideways.

There's a bed on the right shelf, a bed without a canopy without a blanket.

Seen thoroughly, this room is filled with dust without anyone ever entering this place as if it's been abandoned for quite a long time. The evidence is clear on parallel bookshelves lined up sideways, mattresses, lots of dust. While on the wall, there's a spider's nest.

"It's so dirty."

Alice's spirit of cleanliness thrashed over the filthy room so she was forced to take the mop, the broom, and the bucket that happened to be in the secret room next to her that was connected through the same device as Alice entered this room.

The sliding door shows a room similar to a bathroom where the place is like the bathroom known to Alice when she was Nia.

Starting from; the shower hanging on the wall, the glass door blurs along a rectangle with a width of 2 meters and a length of 4 meters, there's also a big white drainage toilet that looks familiar, a metallic white water tap, a drain leading to the drainage in the faucet, Everything looks like the one in the apartment where Nia was before she became Alice.

"Maybe this place used to belong to a reincarnator?" She asked, doubting that people in the world knew very well about the mechanisms in this toilet.

Without lingering, Alice begins pouring water through a metallic white faucet into the bucket; she picks up a mop and a broom hanging from a light brown clothes hanger.

"Okay, time to clean this place up first."

Because it would be very troublesome to clean the place before the bathroom is in the middle room, Alice decides to clean the place first.

The dirty and dusty floor made her clean thoroughly using a carefully wet mop. Although there was no floor fragrance to make the bathroom floor smell good, Alice did not mind it as long as it was successfully cleaned, so it was enough.

After cleaning the floor, she immediately cleaned the initially dusty glass with a mop and water. After that, clean the drain from the drain to prevent it from being filled with dust.

Luckily, the water still came out of the tap made Alice feel relieved that she could clean it easily. Otherwise, she was forced to take it from outside in the middle of the night to clean it up.

After cleaning the bathroom that is now closed, Alice returned to the middle room from the bathroom on the left side of the hallway. She pressed something like a button that stood out on one of the blue ceramic walls of the sky. The button opens showing the center of the room as before.

"Now, let's clean this up too."

With a confident smile, Alice is too engrossed in doing area cleaning in the hideout hoping she can make this place a home if she gets bored in the room.

That's kind of the flashback to what Alice went through.

Back now, proud smiling Alice looked satisfied because everything was clean in the middle room. No more dust, cobwebs and little spiders, and no more dirt on the bed covers because Alice soaks them for washing tonight.

"Now, it's time to browse every book there is."

She doesn't remember that out there, her father Ren was looking for her long enough for breakfast to end without her presence, while Alice picked up every book that was placed on a table that looked like a kotatsu but had no cloth to warm up.

Alice put some books there, she read them one by one.

Alice POV

It's impossible. This place is really like a treasure?

What I'm looking at right now is a book about research on dangerous experiments in this place. Starting with the book about; the girdle girl encyclopedia monsters with detailed explanations, advantages and disadvantages, and materials from their bodies that can be used to make things.

Not only that, there are also several ore materials that can be managed into artifacts.

At first I thought it was a figure of speech, but apparently it's really in this world.

"Well, this is really interesting."

It is thought that people who previously lived here had quite an adequate class, such as the Alchemist and Blacksmith classes, both of which were very important in the development of the times.

Especially if this place is the place of a reincarnator like me, there's a possibility that someone who was here before knew enough about what he was doing all along.

"Hmmm...."

Accidentally, I saw a book under the bed that looked shabby and a little torn. Picking up the book, I put it on the desk while cleaning up some of the dust in it.

"Diary?"

Of all the books, I wonder if my guess is true that the man who made this place is a man from my old world as a reincarnator or not.

If true, could the person be part of the king's descendants or just a few ordinary people who have the blessing of God and Goddess. I don't know. Because thinking about it makes me curious, without lingering, I'm starting to see what's inside.
