Natural magic existed inherently in this world, yet this clay-colored jar could produce it on its own?
And not only that—
The magic it produced wasn't like the "lazy" natural magic found in the environment. It was active, vibrant.
This "vibrancy" wasn't the chaotic, turbulent magic of high-magic zones; it carried a sense of calm energy.
Yuuki watched the pale green magic float in his palm before absorbing it.
The next moment, he realized that this cluster of magic almost perfectly converted into his own mana at a near 1:1 ratio—identical to the natural magic he had absorbed in the Magic Palace, perhaps even more efficiently.
At that instant, Yuuki understood why the Magic Palace had maintained such high concentrations of magic for so long. It was all thanks to this clay-colored jar!
He immediately recognized its value.
Given enough time, this jar could transform any environment into a place rich with natural magic.
Yuuki's expression remained one of astonishment. Though the jar had no offensive capabilities, its value surpassed imagination—especially for a family or even an entire kingdom.
For ordinary mages, its usefulness might seem limited.
No—perhaps not entirely.
Yuuki suddenly recalled that in the Heart Kingdom, a special magical script existed. By using magical texts and natural magic, one could cast "True Magic" imbued with natural energy.
True Magic could even affect and harm demons.
However, learning it required mastery of massive amounts of magical script, as well as exceptional mana and talent—beyond the reach of ordinary mages.
The critical difficulty lay in harnessing natural magic.
If one could train in a place with highly active natural magic, it would greatly aid in mastering True Magic.
Moreover, Yuuki possessed the ability to absorb natural magic, but under normal conditions, the conversion rate was extremely low.
Under the influence of the magic clusters from this jar, however, he could fully restore his mana in a short period.
Yuuki lifted the clay-colored jar. Surprisingly, it wasn't heavy—rather, it felt light. At the bottom, a pale green luminescent layer shimmered like water.
Curious, he reached his hand in. There was no resistance; he easily passed through the glowing layer to touch a slightly hard base.
"Truly remarkable," he murmured.
Next, he infused the jar with his own mana. Without resistance, the jar absorbed it all and then produced another pale green magic cluster.
"Providing energy increases the production rate, huh?"
Yuuki whispered to himself.
"Even with magical artifacts, the law of conservation of energy holds. The jar absorbs ambient energy and refines it."
A low hum resonated from the jar as it absorbed his mana.
Yuuki's eyes lit up with understanding. "So you're called a 'Mana Magic Jar.'"
Having discerned its function and name, his curiosity turned to the other ancient artifacts.
This time, his gaze fell on the golden sword.
Compared to the other relatively unremarkable artifacts, the golden sword was blindingly dazzling. Cast entirely of gold and inlaid with jewels along the blade, it looked more like a priceless work of art than a simple magical item.
Yuuki lightly brushed his fingers over the gemstones. Each one glowed faintly under his touch—clearly still imbued with magic.
"Even more like an extraordinary artwork," he muttered, a hint of amusement on his face.
He lifted the golden sword. Its weight pressed against his arm—substantial, but expected.
He swung it casually. The sword cut through the air, whistling from its own weight, but nothing unusual happened.
His eyes scanned the blade, and he paused.
"No edge?"
The golden sword, unsharpened and made of gold, clearly wasn't an offensive artifact.
After a brief test, unable to discern its function, Yuuki infused it with his mana.
A low vibration coursed through the sword as golden light enveloped the entire blade.
Yuuki's heart stirred. Raising the sword, he swung forward—not to strike, but a golden shield materialized in the space where the blade passed.
With each swing, more golden shields appeared, filling the surrounding space!
"Interesting," Yuuki said, watching the walls of golden shields form. With a gesture, they all vanished at once.
In the next instant, his eyes gleamed. He drove the sword into the ground.
Boom!
A massive golden shield, like a towering wall, surged from the ground before him. Dense golden patterns covered its surface, and at the center roared the image of a dragon.
"Ancient Magical Artifact—Guardian Golden Sword!"
Yuuki pressed a hand on the hilt, whispering the artifact's name.
Roar!
As soon as he spoke the word "Sword," the dragon's head protruded from the shield, letting out a deafening roar.
Golden energy began to condense in the dragon's mouth.
Yuuki immediately felt his mana drain rapidly, his heart leaping.
This was inside his extra-dimensional space!
He sensed the beam's immense power. If released, it could easily destabilize the space itself.
Quickly, he released his grip on the hilt. His mana flow stopped, and the beam ceased forming.
The dragon's head slowly retracted, reverting to the pattern on the shield.
"This artifact…"
Yuuki's lips twitched. For a moment, he couldn't find words to describe the Guardian Golden Sword.
