'But she's not from a noble family . What even makes her the worst candidate is that she's also a thief' , Silver's father said . Deep down, he knew it was pointless because what ever his son , Silver says, he will do it. He 's a man of his words. 'Father, you already know you can't change my mind ' , Silver said calmly. The King sighed . He felt defeated no he was always defeated by his son. 'Then I will take my leave, father' ,Silver said bowing slightly towards his father , turned around and left.
From where Rin was hiding, she was totally losing it. 'I am going to be a disciple' , this sentence was ringing in her mind loudly. She could not think straight. Bokie, seeing Rin's face of different expressions , tried very hard to hold back his laughter. He was enjoying the moment. Rin noticed the look on Bokie's smug face and hissed , 'You...' . Honestly she was not thinking straight to find the suitable words for him. All that she knew was that he will pay back . 'Silver's coming' , Bokie alerted. Rin quickly regained her composure and tried to hide properly. Both Rina nd Bokie knew they've hidden and would not be discovered. They watched as Silver came out of the hall walking elegantly. He stopped midway. 'Why the hell did he stop there, he should hurry up and leave' , Rin thought in frustration. 'It seems it had been fun eavesdropping. You can come out now' , Silver said as if it was nothing. Bokie and Rin startled. ' Damn, he knew we were eavesdropping ', Bokie said to Rin in a whisper. Rin felt her palms were sweaty. Why was she nervous to meet Silver? Rin kept telling herself that she has met Silver before. Bokie nudged her , ' Let's go meet your new master. Emphasis on the master'. Rin glared at him. The glare was lethal - if looks could kill , Bokie would be dead twice , no thrice over.
Rin stood up dusting her clothes. Only to realize that her clothes were clean. It seem she has already gotten used to dusting her clothes. She walked up to Silver with Bokie. Deep down , she did not want to talk yo Silver about what she has heard. 'Hey Silver , you caught me' , Rin said trying to sound cheerful but it was only a croak that came out of her throat. Bokie could not hold it in any longer. He burst out laughing to the extent that he staggered before collapsing. Tears spilling as he howled with laughter. Rin looked at him , 'He's unbelievable'. She could feel anger building up inside her. 'Just stop it!' , Rin yelled as she rushed towards him and strangled his neck. 'I will kill you and have my peace of mind' , Rin said through gritted teeth. Bokie was choking and he decided to apologize. He would be dead if he did not do it. 'Right , right. I am sorry' , Bokie tried to say. 'You said? I can't hear you' , Rin dramatically said. ' I'm sorry' , Bokie finally was able to say it out loud. Only then did Rin leave him . Rin felt victorious. Getting Bokie to apologize was a once in a life time something. Silver was just staring at the two people in front him and sighed. 'It is definitely going to be a long way' , Silver thought.' Right , Silver , back to you. I'm hungry' , Rin said . She was no longer nervous. Silver just nodded and said, 'Follow me , then'. They followed Silver to another room but a larger one.
What they saw made them open their mouth in awe , hunger and greed. The dining hall stretched wide and grand, its vaulted ceilings glittering with crystal chandeliers. A long banquet of table run through the center draped in silk and overflowing with platters of roasted meat, jeweled fruits and golden pastries. The air shimmered with warmth , spice and soft murmur of luxury. They failed to notice another person seated at the far end of the table. It was the man they saw talking with Silver. Silver's father. They gained composure after realizing another presence. Rin bowed deeply after seeing Silver bow. She turned to see Bokie standing there still gawking at the delicious food on the table. She'd swear , she could see saliva coming out of his mouth. Rin nudged him and Bokie also quickly bow. 'You must be Rin I guess' , the man said . There was authority in his voice. 'Yes , My ....' , Rin did not know what to say , which title she would use. All that mattered to her was she was hungry and she wanted to eat the food on the table badly.' You must be hungry , join us to eat' , Rin felt electricity rush through her. Her moment had finally come. She stared at Bokie and gave a smile. It was not just a smile , Bokie knew that . They tried not to show their eagerness to eat but it gave off any way. They sat at the other end of the table while Silver sat with his father.
'You can start eating' , Silver's father gave her a go ahead sign. 'Finally!' , Bokie muttered. They finished eating their share even before Silver and his father could take their spoon. They were not satisfied. ' Mr. King , herr can we eat the rest of the food on the table?' , Rin asked. 'Otherwise , it would go waste and I can't stand to see food being thrown away' , Bokie added. Rin nodded in agreement to Bokie's statement. The King was already shocked at how fast they ate their food so he simply nodded. Rin clapped her hands in delight as she and Bokie knew what they had to do next. Together , they ate like starving beasts, tearing through the feasts until the massive table was stripped of every scrap. 'Did they just finish everything on the table!' , the King was shocked as he watched Rin and Bokie ate until the table looked like it hjad never seen food in its life. The only food left were Silver's and the King's . Silver handed Rin his food which they gladly accepted and finished. The King also gave his food to them out of shock. Truth be told, he did it because he was not thinking straight. Rin and Bokie had finished all the food on the table.
When the maids came in to clear the table , one fainted at what she saw. It was just empty plates on the table. She stared at the King , Silver then Rin and Bokie. She knew the King did not eat much not even to talk about Silver. He did not like eating. 'Don't tell me you two .....' , the maid did not finish the sentence then collapsed unto the ground. 'Thank you Mr. King for the delicious meal' , Rin said and bowed slightly.' If you ever need people to accompany you for dinner, feel free to call us. We are always at your service' , Bokie added. The King was shocked . ' Are these the people my son chose to be his disciples? They are going to eat until the palace kitchen is empty' , The King shook his head at the thought. One thing was sure , they were doomed.
