Chapter 10 - You want to take me as a disciple?

As the figure came to light, Rin was shocked and Bokie stared at the person in disbelief. 'Silver!' , they both exclaimed. Silver wore an expressionless face. Silver signaled the guard to leave. 'This is unbelievable, how are you here in the first place?' , Rin thought out loud. Rin was literally going crazy. Wait, was it because he backstabbed them. Rin was finding it hard to believe. Rin jolted out of her thoughts as she heard the jiggling of a key. A soft click sounded as the lock released. The dungeon gates were opened ajar but Rin and Bokie were still in it. How can they trust him after all that he had done? 'You can come out now' , Silver softly said. 'And? How do we know you are not a snake in the grass? We were very careful in our dealings and we have not been caught a single time. Why now? ' , Bokie rapped. 'Well, I am not forcing you to come out of the dungeon. I told you earlier I am loyal to my friends. If you decide to stay in the dungeon , the punishment is that you would be decapitalized' , Silver said unfazed . 'Still I am not coming with you. I do not deal with traitors. Right Bokie ? ' , Rin turned to her side only to realize she was talking to empty air. Bokie had vanished from the dungeon without a sound. ' What in the hell?' , Rin was furious at Bokie who was standing beside Silver with a sheepish grin. 'You'd better come out of there Rin, I am too young to die let alone be decapitalized. I want to die in a grand way' , Bokie said shamelessly. 'Shameless' , Rin muttered under her breath. She got up , dusted her clothes and came out of the dungeon. Well , this was her only shot. Do or die.

Now they out of the dungeon, walking with Silver taking the lead like geese following their mother. As they walked down the hall way , Rin and Bokie could not believe their eyes. It was like the hall was carved from moonlight. Pearlescent tiles shimmered with every footstep , silver pillars spiraled like frozen waves. Soft light drifted from floating lanterns, giving everything a gentle and otherworldly glow. It was beautiful in a way that felt unreal, as if she had wandered into a dream.' Woah' , Rin just stared in awe. 'This is where rich brats like him stay. It is truly a dream' , Rin heard Bokie mumble. Truly be told the hall was wide and breathtaking. It was a place time itself paused to admire the beauty. 'Lyla' , Rin heard Silver call out. A woman in her late thirties with black hair and matching eyes bowed slightly to Silver. 'My Lord' , she addressed. 'My Lord! Who the hell was this guy they met in the market square' , Rin thought still in shock. Bokie just stared at her as if he was able to read the mind. 'Is he that powerful in River Jade. I mean everyone in River Jade is powerful and rich but not this' , Rin could hear Bokie's voice ringing in her head as she felt a pang of pain in her head. 'What? You can speak in my head?' , Rin was amazed .'Don't do that. It is giving me headaches', Rin gritted her teeth only to receive a smirk from Bokie.'Don't worry, you will get used to it because I am going to be doing more of that', Bokie whispered in her ear. What was happening today? The day's full of mind bowing facts. Rin just shook her head and focused on Silver was busily talking to the maid. 'Take the guests to the room and let them clean up' , that was all Rin heard from Silver. He nodded at them and said, 'Follow her, she will take you to your chambers '. 'Chambers! Not even a room' , Rin thought. After walking for about a minute , they stopped in front of a door made of silver. The maid opened it and said calmly, 'This is your chambers , please clean up yourselves'. She turned around and left. Rin stared at the room in awe. It was spacious and refined. She could tell that fifty people could sleep there if there were enough beds. It was filled with soft golden light that made every surface glow. Smooth marble tiles met plush carpets and delicate drapery framed tall windows. Fine furniture stood perfectly arranged, each piece crated with graceful curves and rich details. Bokie and Rin just stood there quietly admiring the beauty of the room.

The first they could do was get on the bed and jump on it like their lives depend on it. After they were exhausted, they decided to take a bath. There were clean clothes hung on a chair for Rin. After cleaning up , Rin was shocked how white Bokie was. She never knew Bokie's actual color was pure white. They decided to tour the palace after they were done with the room. 'Hurry up' , Rin yelled at Bokie. She was eager to see the other places in the palace. Bokie was finally done and they both headed out to explore the place. The other places were as elegant and majestic as their room and the hallway were. The stopped dead on their tracks when they heard Silver's voice. They followed the voice to a hall that was not far from them. They stood behind the walls and peeked from a safe distance. It was Silver and an older looking man having a conversation. Their ears were itching to hear so they decided to eavesdrop.

'Father , I know you mean well for me but I have to refuse this' , Silver said cool and collected. 'You need someone to rely on. Nickita is the best person for you to marry. Imagine , she would be your wife and disciple', the older man said in a convincing way. 'Silver's getting married' , Bokie communicated to Rin through the head. Rin gave him a 'I don't believe it' look. 'I don't need a wife but I have found a person suitable to be my disciple' , Silver said. The older man raised his brow and asked ,'Who is it?' 'Rin' , Silver was unruffled. Rin's brows shot up, eyes widening and her mouth falling slightly open. 'He wants to take me in as a disciple' , Rin felt she would go crazy at any moment from now.
