Chapter 5 - No.4

Jack watched as Amy fell onto the soft air mattress, she didn't make it far but he knew he wouldn't either. What is this training course! "You got this Jacky babe!" Macy whispered behind him as she nudged him forward. They like each other since childhood after Jack met Macy at a park along with Jake and Amy. Komodo came after when Jack met him during a another park meeting. Macy had told Jack they were best friends and considered each other brother and sister even though Komodo had six sisters and two brothers. That was when jealousy took a place in Jacks heart, it was faint at first then it got harder and tighter to contain. Then suddenly it felt like it gotten less of a burden to carry, but then this nagging feeling like he done something wrong come along and it only got heavier as the years went by.

Jack walked towards the rope, hands clenched tightly, he'll prove that he's stronger and better then Komodo! That starts now. He started to climb the rope, first it was 10ft—20ft—25ft—30 and then stopped at 32ft. Falling down and landing on the soft material. He would become greater than Komodo and better than him. Since this place allowed you to make your own techniques or use techniques then he would find any he could to try and become stronger! Jack then slowly picked himself up and strode over to the next section of the training course.

The pressure was unbelievably strong, but it wasn't as much as Kudos. Komodo's was like a both Panther and Tiger combined along with a Cheetah and Roadrunner. Kudos was that was of a Bear with a heart of Iron. Quinn blinked and Komodo was in front of him, his knee aimed for center of her face. Quinn's eyes widen in surprise but ducked down and dodged the surprise attack. She felt the *whoosh* of wind blowing the front of her face sending her hat flying away, but that didn't matter. She shifted her body and kicked her leg up in the air at Komodo's chin, using her arms to push herself up. Komodo just narrowly avoided the deadly blow by scooting himself backwards just a faction. He raised his leg high up in the air and with a whoosh of air aimed it right for Quinn's torso. Quinn almost had no time to dodge so she rolled sideways and flipped herself up, only to be met with a powerful kick to the side that dug into her. She coughed up fluid but didn't back down. She needed to be serious. No more screwing around. She swung a back handed strike at Komodo's head who dodged by bending his knees, but Quinn saw this coming and changed the trajectory of the attack but curving it towards Komodo's left shoulder. Quinn's eyes widened even more when Komodo stopped her sudden burst with his left foot just in the nick of time. He then took advantage of this surprise and pushed her arm away. He pivoted his torso, turning around and twisting his body sideways just slightly and pushing himself off the ground. He then twisted back around giving a strong punch to the gut and gave ripples in the air. Kondo then kicked Quinn's left leg kneeling her as he shinned her ribcage sending her rolling across the floor.

Quinn wheezed painfully clutching her sides and leg. She didn't think she'd lose that badly. She wasn't even able to make a scratch! How! That shouldn't be possible! No one should have that much fighting experience in such short amount of time! No! She won't lose! Not like this! Quinn slowly got up. Komod raised an eyebrow under his mask with curiousity. "Oh? You're not done?" Komodo asked calmly but with a slightly annoyed tone. He was surprised though to say the least. She had given him a good fight and lasted longer than expected. Quinn turned towards Komodo, a slightly determined expression written in her eyes that made Komodo feel excited. Suddenly the air bursted around Quinn as she appeared before Komodo with a punch. Komodo reacted by grabbing it and returning with a punch of his own aim for Quinn's center torso. Quinn blocked it with her left arm, but Komodo wasn't done. He then pivoted his body, his hands grabbing onto Quinn's hips. He planted his legs and feet into the ground. Quinn felt his hand grab directly onto her hips. He then bends backwards giving a power supplex. Quinn ready though and she bent her legs back and catching herself. She then broke free from the hold, placing her hands on the ground and pushing both her legs the other way where Komodo was. Komodo reacted quicker though and spun himself around in the air sideways and landing carefully. "Your good. I didn't know you would be this amazing, Quinn." Komodo praised with a clap of his hands. Quinn's eyes slit slightly in suspicion, but Komodo's praise was genuine and light hearted. "Lets just end this already." Quin spat loudly with annoyance shifting her weight around. Komodo nodded calmly in agreement. "Yes, that we should. I just felt like praising you because you are very skilled." Komodo replied in kind. He straightened out his hands like runners when they sprint. Quinn's eyes opened wider then a bowl of cereal. "How? Is that possible?" She muttered, "That's my 'Kendo strike'!" She then yelled loudly backing away from Komodo. She had been working on that technique for four years as it was passed down from her family. Yet here a nobody within her bloodline. Had just learned it like it was nothing?! How?! That shouldn't even be possible!? Did he COPY it? That might be possible but in what way should a human potentially possess such an ability? Komodo dashed forward, faster than before like a bullet, with his hand raised up. Quinn dodge the strike and felt the hush of wind ripple her cheek. She saw Komodo's crimson eye stare at her with excitement and wonder. He's not serious! Quinn realized with annoyance. Komodo wasn't fighting with all his might like she was. She then struck back with the same technique hitting the side of Komodo's arm with such force it sent him stumbling back.

Komodo was in awe of this technique. He had seen her use it over and over in the gym but never thought to use it himself. "How amazing and thrilling! But, I need to end this battle!" Komodo thought with disappointment glancing at the training course. He saw Quinn rush forward with such speed it was like a reverb of a explosion making his ears ring and his blood boil. He dodged her strike attacks barely which also gave him little to no room to attack back. Komodo then felt something that he didn't feel in a long time— pain— it was short but it wasn't there sharp painful sensation you felt when shot it was more when you try to move when paralyzed. That's right. She had just struck his heart area and stunned him for a few seconds. He caught Quinn's left hand twisting it as he use his leg to trip her and flip her sideways. He then used his right hand, using the striking technique and slammed down on Quinn's torso sending her into the ground with a loud "boom!".

Komodo stood heaving and shaking like a winter breeze. He stumbled towards Gerald, who was laughing loudly, and sat down on a chair next to him.

"Come on Amy! You can do it!" Macy shouted as Amy pushed on the large boulder. Amy pushed on the boulder hard on the boulder but it didn't budge. Not one bit. Her muscles were straining and hurting from the previous courses and she was feeling the fatigue like a anvil. She felt her concentration start to waver and then without her realizing it she was on the ground unable to get up. Her body had reached the limit and now needed rest. Everyone else had the same experience and everything went smoothly.

Later that evening the group was walking towards the lunch hall. Jake had many bruises and slight scars so he had to be bandaged up quiet a bit. Amy was helped by Macy with her having mostly a bit of sore muscles and bruising. Jack was just a mummy in disguise and had many bandages, he sat in a wheelchair since he pushed himself too hard to point he couldn't walk. Jake was pushing Jack and they were yapping about their favorite food. Macy and Amy were just listening and giggling softly to their babbling. "You know Jack, maybe if you ate more Soup then maybe you wouldn't be in this wheelchair. If you make the right soup with the right stuff and the right nutritional value than you would be very healthy!" Jake teased with a smirk. Jack grumbled. "Well maybe if you ate more vegetables than maybe you wouldn't be this short?" Jack remarked with a laughed but then winced in pain making Jake laugh in return. As they continued going down the curving hallways they soon came across Komodo and Gerald walking out from the lunch hall with Quinn and a man with short rough black hair following behind them. Jake ignored them, Amy glanced at Komodo with a sheepish yet guilty expression, Macy smiled and Jack just nodded in respect, not at Komodo but Gerald. The other four noticed them with some sternness. Gerald didn't have his usual arrogant grin or smirk, Quinn wasn't slithering like a snake, Komodo didn't very cheerful and the other man just looked pissed at something as his veins were bulging very largely. "Hi Big bro!" Macy called out releasing Amy gently and making sure she's okay before walking over to Komodo. "Do you know what they are serving inside the lunch hall?" She asked gesturing at the behind the doors. Komodo glanced behind him and made a hand gesture for the rest to go ahead of him, which they did without hesitation. "They are serving Chicken, steak, broccoli and spinach." Komodo answered firmly, spinning his heels around in smooth quick motion. He then started to walk away but Macy grabbed his shoulder gently, like a dog that pounces on their owner wanting attention. "Wait, big brother. Why don't you come hang out with us? We haven't talked in a while and we all want to visit with you." Macy pleaded softly hoping that Komodo would comply, but that was shattered instantly with Komodo's next words. "No, Macy. I can't. I'm busy with stuff. Just go have lunch without me." Macy frowned with sadness looking down with disappointment, but Komodo didn't waver. He turned around and walked away heading down the curving hallway around the bend. Although it was blunt and simple it still hurt like a train. Macy glanced at Amy, seeing her hurt and pained face of disappointment that was covered by a smile of understanding. "It's fine, Macy. Let's just go have lunch." Amy said, giving her a soft and gentle expression as she turned away smoothly like a cat that flicks their tail. Jake had a frown of frustration, looking back at Komodo with a intense stare of anger. His overprotectiveness overshadowing his fear, but his gaze faltered and shivered just a bit when he saw Komodo staring right back at him. Komodo's eye was cold, dark, it was hypnotic and terrifying making Jake's grip on reality start to fade and slip, but Jack brought him back with a tug. "Hey? You good? I can feel you shaking the chair." Jack whispered softly tugging on Jake's sleeve. Jake look down and saw that his arms were trembling with extreme intensity. This, Jake told himself, was fear. Jake tried to shake off the dreading feeling of death looming over him by shaking his body. "Woah, Jake! Take it easy man! We don't want to make you worse." Amy called placing a calming and gentle hand on Jake's shoulder. Jake stopped, breathing heavily, and turned around to look at Amy who had a frown of concern and curiosity. "What's wrong, brother?" Amy asked holding both of Jakes shoulders now. "It's," Jake stuttered to say before glancing at Komodo who stared at him coldly with dead man walking gaze. The eerie faint glow of Komodo's crimson eye under the dark interior of the white face covering mask made the eye contact all the more scarring, "it's nothing, Amy. Just trying to keep myself awake that's all." Jake continued out with a large heavy wheeze of his chest. Amy's eyes widen in surprise but also in more concern. Was that fear she saw? Odd? Amy knew her brother didn't fear many things let alone a person. But who did he glance too? Komodo? Impossible, he hasn't changed much over time. Gerald? That sounds more plausible, but for now she'll let it slide. "Jake, it's okay. Let's just go have lunch yea?" Amy said gently turning Jake around and nudging him to move along. "We'll talk later Komodo. If we can that is." She continued with a soft and kind smile as she walked off after taking Macy's hand and dragging her away.

Komodo watched as they went through the large double doors of the lunch hall. It was sad really, they choose the wrong time to start being friends with him now. Can't blame them though, but if that's the case then what is this large nagging feeling in my chest! Do I… still have feelings for Amy? No why would I? I shouldn't? I wanted to forget those memories and them! Yes! They are my friends but right now they are nothing more than just student in whom I must teach and work with. Nothing more. But… I stil care about them. Do I? Then what about my revenge? What about my family? No! I must not think of such things right now! This is crucial. I don't not care about them, they must care about themselves and themselves only. I mustn't let their lies get ahold of me!

Gerald walked over to Komodo, patting him on the back as he also watched the group walk into the lunch hall. "Ahh, so unlucky. But I do say, your friend got them nice curves." Gerald said aloud with a lick of his lips getting glances from Quinn and the black haired dude. Komodo just glared at him although his facial expression was covered anyone could feel the anger and disgust rising from Komodo. Komodo turned around, his boots whipping the floor with such force it made scratch marks. "Let's go, Kudos is waiting for us." He muttered angrily after getting a smirk of Gerald. "Oh, and one other thing. Seongjin Yuk make sure that tomorrow you treat the newbies with a good old tossing." Komodo continued looking towards the long black haired dude named Seongjin. Seongjin nodded in reply which got him a eye roll from Quinn. "Could we just hurry this up?" She muttered softly like a cricket at night, not meeting Komodo's stare of disapproval.

The lunch hall of bustling with students and other people from totally different schools. It was amazing! The group wandered, expect for Jack still stuck in a wheelchair, their way through the busy students trying to get to the serving station where food was given. "Man it sure is busy!" Macy exclaimed with excitement although with a hint of nervousness. She wasn't used to this at all and nor was the rest. "It's… new. That's for sure." Jake said with a nervous grin that twitched ever so slightly. Amy stepped in front of the group making a gesture with her hand for the boys to go sit. "Macy and I will get the food, you boys can go find us a table if there are any left." She said calmly with a soft grin as she can Macy walked into towards a long line of students waiting to be served their food. Jake and Jack both nodded as Jake grabbed hold of Jacks wheelchair handles and walked off to find a seat.

The two boys wandered along the large, folded room of the lunch hall. It was big and it had color. It was orange, grey and blue with small tiles of the same color. The place had many seats and tables that were long or circular in shape with some stacking upon each other like stairs. Jack and Jake were able to find a empty table but it took a really long time to find. Jake sat down and heaved a very, very big sigh of relief. "Man, that sure took forever. Anyway, Jack are you gonna sit-" Jake almost said but stopped then he glanced back and forth between the table and the wheelchair cripple. Jack just slowly turned and glared at him with a painful face making Jake almost laugh so loud it probably would have busted anyone's ear drums if to close. "That's one way to stifle a laugh." A Voice said with such a burst of energy it made Jack perk up in his so called "seat." He tried to turn around but felt two hands on his shoulders that were so gentle is even made Jack's blood run cold, however, he recognized the voice. "Katie?" He asked trying to glance behind him, albeit he failed miserably. The blondie smiled in mock applause as she, after releasing Jack, clasped her hands together and smiled wildly with joy. "Why, is it not Commandor Komodo's friends whom we met not to long ago!" She exclaimed.!
