Evelin's POV
Grey went still for a beat. Grace shot back, "That patent belongs to both of you, so why shouldn't he be able to use it? And after you got married, if Grey hadn't been busting his ass to bring in money, do you think you would've had all that free time to develop that patent?"
Free time? I almost laughed out loud at the absurdity.
During our marriage, I'd thrown nearly everything I had into getting Grey's company off the ground.
If things had been different, I would've had way more than just one patent under my belt since our wedding day.
"So what you're saying is that Ford Technology exists purely because of Grey's brilliance and his hard work? That's your take?"
I fired back.
"Absolutely! Sure, you had some research wins in the military, but so what? Running a business is completely different from military work. You need vision, balls, and the right people in your corner. You think cash just magically appears?" Grace's words came out razor-sharp.
