Evelin's POV
Thankfully, a server entered our private dining room at that exact moment, carrying plates of food that broke the tension hanging in the air.
I gazed at the traditional Bellatrix dishes spread across the table, feeling my eyes start to moisten.
I began eating the meal before me.
Jimmy had taken me to one of Bellatrix's finest establishments.
While the food was undeniably excellent, something about the flavors felt off from what I remembered.
"Something wrong? Not to your liking?" Jimmy asked unexpectedly.
His perceptiveness caught me off guard. "No, it's delicious."
"Your face tells a different story," he observed. "If this place doesn't work for you, we could try somewhere else."
I shook my head. "There's no need to fuss over a simple meal. This is one of Bellatrix's premier restaurants.
"These dishes are far more sophisticated than anything my parents and I ever had at those little local spots."
Still, I found myself longing for those simpler flavors.
