When Darren spoke about disguises, he wasn't talking about simple costume changes. We needed to transform into the kind of wolves who naturally belonged in Bonita Creek. Wolves who owned brothels, worked in them, visited as clients, participated in auctions, traded flesh, or found themselves being traded. To survive undetected, we had to merge seamlessly into that twisted underworld.

Elliott's expression turned granite-hard when told he'd masquerade as Swift's Beta. Here was an Alpha who would choose death over submission, now forced to portray a subservient shadow.
