"Oh! Thankfully he's not dead yet." Logan heard the muffled voice of a female speaking in relief.
"We're only half way done. Do you think we should continue the splicing?" The same voice asked.
"Yes, let's continue. He would be no different than dead if he didn't Awaken any ways." A cold make voice replied.
Logan came to and he gasped deeply then… "Cough! Cough! Cough!"
He coughed seven times as water, blood, spit and muscus flew out from his lips, standing the liquid.
Intense pain surged through his entire body and he felt as though his body was about to expand and then explode.

His eyes flew wide open and everything he saw only made him panic even more.

He was actually submerged inside a massive liquid tank! His body stretched out and in an X shape manner and his limbs as well as his head was tightly locked by various robotic hands.

Logan wanted to roar out in panic and anger. He couldn't even remember how he got here! From what he could remember, he was on a trip to attending a business conference from his boss and had fallen asleep on the plane due to being tired, how come he was suddenly in this situation?

A man and a woman dressed in a white dress monitored the vitals projected from the tank as an hologram before them.

The lady flickered her hair and glared at her colleague. "Why wouldn't I dare to bet!"

The youth's body sank down to the bottom of the tank as the water also drained from the tank until the youth's legs touched the bottom of the tank.
His legs gave out as he collapsed to the ground with a 'thud'.
That youth was actually Logan.
Logan felt as though a hundred years had passed since he woke up in this torture chamber. He had thought the pain would never stop when surges of fragmented memories that weren't his own flashed through his mind, distracting him briefly from the pain.
It turned out he hadn't been kidnapped by some government or aliens, he had actually transmigrated hundreds of years into the future.
He transmigrated into the body of this youth who had died from not been able to withstand the pain of the fusion.
