Chapter 667 There Is a Situation!!
But this was not the time to turn around and ask Darren.
Harry could only suppress his curiosity and continue to eavesdrop quietly.
"You can't make any more mistakes. If you are expelled…"
"As I said, the necklace Katie Bell took had nothing to do with me, and I didn't go to Hogsmeade that day.
Since Darren Potter is watching me, and even he didn't say anything about me, why are you accusing me?"
Malfoy shouted.
Snape's expression became even more anxious.
"You're going to ruin things for the Dark Lord…
And Darren Potter wasn't spying on you before. He only started suspecting you after the necklace incident.
Do you really think your disguise is that good? A lot of people in the school are certain it was you!"
"Who else suspects me besides Darren Potter? If so, let them show proof!
I said I didn't do it. That Katie must have an enemy—what does it have to do with me?"
There was a moment of silence.
Then after a while, Snape said, "I can't see anything in your mind. What are you hiding from your master?"
"I'm not hiding from him. I just don't want you interfering!"
"Listen to me. Your mother and I made an Unbreakable Vow. I must help you. You'd better tell me your plan…"
"Looks like you're going to break it then… I have my own plan. It will take a little longer, but it's safer…"
Malfoy sneered.
Snape looked at him coldly.
"What kind of plan could you possibly have? Something like tonight, where you were almost discovered?"
"It was just an accident! I have to avoid Darren Potter's attention. If he finds out, I'm finished!
You don't understand at all the pressure of hiding from him!"
Malfoy said angrily.
"Then tell me everything and I'll help you!"
"No need. I know you just want to steal my credit. No way!"
Malfoy said furiously.
Then he rushed out.
Only Snape was left standing there with a complicated expression…

Over the Christmas holidays, Harry and the others were invited again by Mrs. Weasley.
In Mrs. Weasley's living room, Harry told Darren about what had happened yesterday.
Darren was about to say that Harry should have called him.
But Harry looked helpless.
"If there hadn't been so many girls around you, I would have called you… but there were just too many.
If I'd pulled you away, I would've had to explain to them why, and by then Malfoy and Snape's conversation would have ended!"
"It's Professor Snape," Darren reminded.
Harry nodded, then looked at him suspiciously.
"Why didn't you tell me you even had the house-elves and Filch spying on Malfoy?"
Darren laughed.
"I was just worried about your safety. Ever since you started suspecting Malfoy, I've been afraid he might try something against you.
Having house-elves watch him secretly can at least stop him from poisoning you."

Harry was moved.
Of course, he still asked his biggest question.
"So what information did you get?"
"One thing. This morning Dobby and Peggy reported to me that Malfoy went to the Room of Requirement—and he used Polyjuice Potion."
"What?"
Harry nearly jumped up in excitement.
He paced around and said, "Obviously Malfoy figured out how to enter the Room of Requirement last year.
He must be planning something against us there. Maybe he's building some kind of secret weapon!"
"If it's a secret weapon, I don't think anyone needs to be afraid. After all, Hogwarts has…"
"Dumbledore!"
Fred and George said together.
Harry laughed too.
"But I still don't think Snape has good intentions. He doesn't feel like our spy at all!"
Harry said hesitantly.
Darren glanced at him.
He wanted to say that Snape was the most determined spy of all.
But right now, he couldn't tell Harry that.
Besides, even if he said it, Harry probably wouldn't believe that someone could sacrifice so much for love.
And… Dumbledore would handle everything, so there was no need to worry.
So Darren only said that he believed Snape.
Hermione and Ron agreed with him.
"Snape is probably just acting as a spy again. He might only be trying to trick Malfoy into revealing his plan."
Hermione said impatiently.
Harry couldn't convince them.
So he returned to talking about Malfoy.
"There's definitely something wrong with Malfoy. Even Snape thinks so. He also believes Malfoy gave the necklace to Katie!"
That was true. Hermione could only nod.
Harry looked proud.
Then he thought of Snape again and remembered another key point.
"He also made an Unbreakable Vow with Malfoy's mother. What would happen if he broke it?"
"Die!"
Ron said solemnly.
"When I was five, Fred and George almost tricked me into making one.
When Dad found out… I'd never seen him so angry.
Mum and Dad cleaned them up so badly that it was said their bottoms weren't even the same size afterward."
"You're the one with two different-sized bottoms, little Ron!"
"I'm not little! In just over two months I'll be an adult and I'll be able to use magic outside school!"
Ron said angrily.
Fred and George laughed loudly.
"We heard from Ginny that you've got a situation with a girl?"
Ron's face turned red.
"What business is it of yours?"
"We suspect that girl has something wrong with her brain!"
"Yeah, how could she possibly fancy you?"
Ron threw a knife at them.
Fred and George didn't care.
They dodged it and looked at Darren.
"Well then, dear little Darren, we heard you're being chased by even more girls at Hogwarts.
Have you considered picking a lovely one?"
Darren laughed.
He leaned lazily on the sofa and said, "I don't want to. What if I die tomorrow?"
"No talking nonsense!"
"Don't say that!"
"Knock on the table!"
Darren's words made everyone anxious.
Mrs. Weasley immediately made him knock on the table.
The effect was probably similar to warding off bad luck.
Darren didn't want to, but seeing Hermione, Mrs. Weasley, and even Ginny looking tearful, he finally gave in.
After knocking, he said softly, "Don't worry. I just don't want to delay any girl.
But I will protect myself—and all of you.
We will all live."
