I got to the restaurant that May specified twenty minutes before the meet up time she sent me before, after using the facilities at the Pokemon Center to clean up and get ready. And as she asked, I dressed in the nicest clothes I had. Not that that meant much since I only had a few sets of clothes to begin with.
The restaurant itself was called the Crystal Onix Outery, and was decorated with different colors of quartz crystals for every booth, with the tables themselves looking as if they had been cut from massive geodes. What I found curious though was that the tables all sat around a depressed pit in the middle of the restaurant that looked suspiciously like an arena for battling.
"Reservation?" The host suddenly called over to me, drawing my attention away from the restaurant itself.
"Yes! I am here for a reservation in about twenty minutes. May Birch?" I told him, hoping I wouldn't have to wait long for the table.
"Of course. If you can just wait a moment sir, we will have a table ready post-haste." The host answered, before directing me to a small waiting area.
I took a seat on the bench that appeared to be a cushion on a slab of marble while continuing to admire the restaurant itself. It genuinely amazed me just how much they incorporated crystals into the design without appearing too gaudy.
"Sir, your table is ready."
I jerked my head back to the host as he called out to me, and I quickly stood to follow one of the waiters as they led me through to one of the tables, giving the host my thanks as I passed him.
The table I was led to ended up being right beneath a massive tank on the other side of the room, within which I could see several Omanyte, Kabuto, Lileep and Anorith relaxing while a Relicanth swam lazily through the water.
I watched the pokemon as they went about their business in the tank without a single care in the world, the Relicanth actually looking at me with what appeared to be the same intensity that I was watching it.
"Did I keep you waiting?"
"Not at all. I- I- I..."
I stammered when I saw her. I couldn't help it.
May had asked me to dress in my best clothes when she sent me the earlier message, so I had. Not that I had many to pick from. So I opted for my best-looking pair of blue jeans, and a nice button down shirt.
May made me look like a pauper that was poorly playing at prince.
Her normally twin-tailed styled brown hair hung down in lovely waves that looked professionally done, especially as they appeared to glow slightly whenever they caught the light. Her feet were clad in dark red heels that did interesting things to her legs, and perfectly matched the silk dress she was wearing.
Arceus have mercy. The dress.
The dress was a dark red that flowed down May's body like water given physical form, hanging in place only thanks to the spaghetti-thin straps on her shoulders. A slit on the right side displayed a generous amount of her leg all the way up to her upper thigh, while the neckline plunged down to display the valley between her breasts.
"I think you're drooling." May joked as she approached the table, seemingly unaware that every eye around us was filled with either envy or desire thanks to her.
"Let me!" I said while jumping to my feet like my seat was burning, as I hurried to pull her chair out for her.
"Such a gentleman." May joked as she gracefully sat down, and I gently pushed the chair in for her before returning to my own seat.
"You look amazing..." I told her with every ounce of sincerity I could muster.
"Thank you." May replied with a smile, picking up her menu as she did so.
I grabbed mine as well and perused the options they had here, before having to stiffle a choke as I saw the prices.
I couldn't afford this...
"I'll pay, so don't worry." May immediately said, as if she had been reading my thoughts.
"Thanks..." I said while also feeling bad. "If we keep this up though, then it'll feel more like you're my sugar mama." I joked with a wry smile. And surprisingly, May smirked back.
"In that case, then baby boy better dance if he wants mama to make it rain." She replied with a predatory grin, and I nearly had to physically shake my head to keep those particular thoughts away so I could focus on dinner.
"So what did you do after we split up?" I asked her to change the subject. I didn't know why, but May was acting quite different tonight.
"Nothing much. I just went around and ran some errands. What about YOU?" May asked after giving a noncommital answer.
"I went to the Gym and challenged Brock. Not only did I win, but I caught a Meowth on the way while both Oddish and Poliwhirl evolved." I told her with a large grin.
"No way!" May exclaimed excitedly, her eyes lighting up with the news.
"Way." I replied, before recounting my trip to the Gym for her. Battling Forrest and Salvador until Oddish evolved into Gloom, then Brock himself. Mankey losing after being taken out by his Golem, evolving Gloom into Bellossom to take on his Onix. And finally Poliwhirl's battle against Brock's Aerodactyl, during which I threw him the Water Stone needed to evolve into Poliwrath.
"And I missed it!" May groaned as I showed her the Boulder Badge once my story was over.
"That's ok. There should still be plenty of Gym battles in the future." I assured her.
"Yeah... But none of them will be your first..." May grumbled as she looked at the menu once more.
"Have the lovely couple decided what they'll be having?" The waiter came and asked a few minutes later.
"I will have the grilled Farfetch'd with a side of Tangela vine salad please." May requested while handing her menu back.
"And you are aware that the Farfetch'd comes with the leak, miss?" The waiter asked while writing down her order.
"Of course~!" May replied while I just shook my head wryly. They had no idea of her appetite was like if she got serious.
"And I'll take the rack of Flaffy ribs with a side of fries." I requested while also handing my menu over. It was still weird to me that we were eating pokemon, but I guess that there was no real alternative aside from vegetarianism. And even that was iffy with the grass type pokemon.
"Very well. I shall return with your food as soon as possible." The waiter said as he finished taking our orders, before departing with the menus.
"A whole Farfetch'd?" I asked May as soon as the waiter left.
"Yeah! I've been wanting to try grilled Farfetch'd for a while now, and they're practically nonexistent in Hoenn." May said while she also glanced around the restaurant curiously.
"So what is the most unusual thing you've eaten?" I asked her curiously, especially with the way I felt about eating pokemon.
"Hmmm... Well, one guy I went out with in Hoenn took me to a seaside cafe that served Sharpedo fins, but they were far too tough while also scrapping up my tongue and cheeks when I ate it. A close second though would be the Grimer sludge milkshake I got in Lavaridge town once."
"Grimer sludge?" I asked with a grimace.
"Its not as bad as it sounds. I don't know how they did it, but it was actually pretty good." May insisted while waving her hand dismissively.
"Maybe I'll get to try it one day." I told her, while secretly feeling that it would never happen.
"I'll hold you to that." May said with a smirk.
For a moment after that neither of us said anything else, but then I asked her about something else she had mentioned.
"So, this isn't the first date you've been on?" I asked curiously, before May rolled her eyes.
"Unfortunately..." She said while shaking her head.
"When I was traveling around Hoenn there were a few guys I went out with, but none of them clicked. Especially after I started getting recognized from May's Expeditions. One guy was too pushy, another one was too intimidated, and one guy smelt like cheese. Then there was the guy who only went out with me to try and get me into bed."
"What happened to him?"
"I ducked under the table to get something that fell, only to see his thing out under it as well while he was shaking it with one hand. It was obvious what he wanted me to do, so I kicked his chair so he fell over backwards with it out in front of everyone."
"Seriously? I can't believe there really is someone who would try that." I said while shaking my head with amusement.
"Right? I even took pictures of him before he could put himself away, and threatened to out him with May's Expeditions if he tried anything." May said while also looking as if she were suppressing her own laughter. But then she turned serious once again. "Enough about me. Do YOU have any interesting stories to share?"
Normally it would be a stupid question, as my amnesia was well known between the two of us, but so was my random memory when it came to certain things.
"I don't think so." I said a moment later with my ears burning. "Like a bunch of other things we did over the last few days, I feel like this is the first time I've ever gone out on a date like this." I confided with her with no small amount of embarrassment.
"Really? A good looking stud like you?" May asked incredulously. "Considering the way Leaf and Misty were acting around you, I figured it would be the same before you came here."
"I think all Leaf wanted were the benefits of knowing me." I said while shaking my head, though there probably was a certain level of attraction there as well. I seriously doubt even she would be willing to give herself up so easily just for a few bucks. "And as for Misty, I'm not sure if she was really interested or not."
"Oh she is." May said with a tone that possessed absolute certainty.
"You think so?"
"I KNOW so." May said with a smirk. "She basically told me as much before we separated in Viridian. I guess that tends to happen when you save a gal's life."
"Huh." I uttered in disbelief. "And you're ok with that?"
"Mmm..."
May hummed at my question as she seemed to ponder it for a moment.
"I feel like its only natural for a person to feel proud of their partner being desired by others. Within reason of course."
"Yet you and Leaf were constantly at each other's throats." I pointed out.
"True." May admitted with a nod. "But that was also because all she thought about was the potential profits she could make off of you, plus she wanted to try and take you from me. Misty however basically just said that if I didn't mind sharing for a night to give her a call."
I felt as if my mind blanked of all thoughts vanished aside from the image of both Misty and May, naked while beckoning me towards our shared bed.
"Noah~!"
"Huh?" I exclaimed as my eyes focues on May once again, while she just snapped her fingers in front of me with an amused look in her eyes.
"I get how appealing that thought might be, but eyes on the prize, not the horizon." May said as she crossed her arms, not in anger, but under her breasts to emphasize them so that I would focus on her.
"Sorry... But you were the one who put the image in my head." I apologized, but not without pointing that particular fact out.
"I know, and I'm not mad. I know for a fact that you aren't a man who thinks with his lower head. If you were, then you would have thoroughly ravished me already." May pointed back, which was true. The last few days were nothing short of torture with how she slept and dressed each night.
"You have no idea how hard that was. You can be quite the tease." I admitted with a smile.
"Just wait. You haven't seen anything yet." May replied, prompting all kinds of inappropriate thoughts to cross my mind as the waiter returned with our food.
"You food sir, madam." He said while putting not a plate, but an actual slab of what looked like rock salt on the table with our food, while the sides were served on actual plates.
"Woah!" I exclaimed when I saw how our food was prepared, before I started salivating heavily once the smell hit me. On my slab was a rack of ribs that looked perfectly cooked. And when I lifted one of the bones, it lifted perfectly without a single stripe of flesh on it.
"I know! It smells delicious~!" May exclaimed as she eyed her own meal, several cuts that made up a full Farfetch'd with a chopped up grilled leak sprinkled all over it with its own seasonings.
All smeblance of conversation halted as the two of us dug into our food, as I had already learned not to come between May and her meals. But it wasn't as if we weren't focused entirely on our meals, as a pair entered the ring in the middle of the restaurant.
"Ladies and gentlemen, please turn your attention to the arena momentarily." The host announced, as the duo, a man and a woman, took their respective places across from one another in the arena.
"Are battles in the middle of restaurants normal?" I asked May curiously, despite her being in the middle of eating.
"It depends on the restaurant, but I feel like most do. Especially high-class establishments since being skilled in battles are typically a sign of status. Plus it can be a form of free entertainment while people are waiting or already eating." May explained, even as we both focused on the battle.
"Go, Golduck!"
"Show this brute who's boss, Dodrio."
The man then the woman both declared as they sent their respective pokemon out, the former being a humanoid figure covered in blue feathers with webbed hands and feet to go with it's duck bill, while a red gem pulsed on it's forehead. Meanwhile it's opponent was bipedal bird with three heads, each one with a long sharp beak.
I watched with interest as the Golduck and Dodrio battled, each one fighting valiantly at their trainer's behest.
First the Golduck used Aqua Jet to shoot across the arena at it's opponent, hitting the Dodrio while simultaneously drenching it with all of the water. The flying type however responded by using Peck, a weaker move normally, but with it possessing three long beaks, the move turned vicious as Golduck was assaulted from three different directions.
The Golduck then used Zen Headbutt, sending Dodrio flying back from the force of the attack before following up with a Water Pulse. The Dodrio tried to fight back with a desperate Tri Attack, but it was useless in the face of the surge of water coming at it. And Dodrio was washed away.
"Dodrio is unable to battle! Golduck wins!" The host declared, and a round of polite applause echoed from the rest of the restaurant while the two trainers recalled their pokemon, and shook hands.
"So is everyone with a pokemon considered a trainer?" I asked May curiously, since it was starting to look that way.
"Not everyone... Official trainers are only those who go around challenging Gyms, like the two of us... However nearly all pokemon love to battle, and almost everyone has at least one pokemon that is either a part of their livelihood, or is a companion... For them, battling with their pokemon is more like getting them some exercise for the day." May explained patiently between bites of food.
"I see..." I murmured quietly while watching the guy and girl leave the arena, the former looking smug while the latter seemed dejected.
With the battle over the two of us focused on our food once again as I quickly cleared away the ribs and fries, while May practically inhaled the entire grilled Farfetch'd before washing it down with the Tangela salad, which was a bowl of blue vines with dressing on top.
Soon enough our food was gone, and the waiter came back while a bus boy took our dishes away.
"May I interest the lady and gentleman in our dessert menu?" He asked while offering a smaller menu to us.
"Ooh! Please!" May said while readily accepting the menu, though she didn't let me look as she picked something out. "Don't worry. I know you'll love it." May assured me as she only pointed to the dessert of her choice, and the waiter left once again.
"If you say so." I said with a wry smile, while May just smirked kowingly.
It was only a moment later that the waiter returned, holding two small platters that had a couple scoops of vanilla ice-cream on them with a hot fudge brownie in between.
"Oh!" I exclaimed when I saw them.
"Told you!" May declared smugly, even as she readily cut into the brownie with her fork, only for molten fudge to pour out and mix with the ice-cream.
The dessert was interesting to say the least, with how hot the brownie fudge was in comparison to the freezing ice-cream in the same bite. It confused my mouth with every bite, and I loved it.
Soon enough our dessert was gone as well, and it was time for May and I to leave. And I had the self awareness to feel awkward when May picked up the check, and the waiter gave me a cocked brow.
Once the bill was paid the two of us left the restaurant, hand in hand, as we made our way into town.
"So where to now?" I asked May curiously. After all, she was the one who was basically the living brochure on places to go.
"Its a surprise." May said as she led me by the hand.
We walked for a few more blocks before the space between the buildings opened up, and we entered a park filled with people and booths while dozens of Volbeat glowed overhead at the direction of an Illumise
"This is Pebble Central Park, directly in the middle of Pewter city." May explained while leading me towards the booths. "Every weekend they open like a festival, drawing in all of the travelers and trainers passing through. Its also a perfect place for local couples~!"
I couldn't help the smile on my lips as May dragged me along to see the different booths, where there were all sorts of games to play, treats to eat, and prizes to win.
"Men! Come and test your strength like a true man! Show off for the ladies!"
I looked over where one man was running a booth, the man standing taller than me by several inches with arms and legs built like treetrunks. Standing behind him were a trio of pokemon that I recognized as a Meditite, Lucario and Machoke.
"You there!" The man suddenly yelled, looking right at me.
"Me?"
"Yeah, you!"
May and I quickly made our way to him through the crowd as the man sized me up.
"You look like a strapping young man. Care to try my challenge?" He asked with a smirk.
"What kind of challenge?"
"A test of strength of course!" The man boomed, before gesturing at the three pokemon behind him. "Pick one of my amazing pokemon, and try your grit in an arm wrestling competition!"
May squeezed my hand as I looked the three fighting type pokemon over, sizing them up as they all flexed their muscles at me intimidatingly.
"Alright." I said, pulling my hand free of May's as I approached them.
"Nice one sonny! Which one do you want to take on?" The man asked while beckoning to the pokemon again.
"All three." I replied, making him blink.
"Huh?"
The man just gaped as I slammed my elbow down on the table with my hand up.
"Are you first?" I asked the Meditite, being the smallest and physically weakest of the trio, followed by Lucario and then Machoke.
"Tite tite, Meditite." It replied with a grin, telling me not to get too cocky as it grabbed my hand as well.
"Ready? Set? Go!" The man declared once we were set, and I immediately slammed Meditite's arm down to the table.
"Huh...?"
"Tite?"
"Humph." I smirked as the man and Meditite both gaped at me in disbelief from the instant defeat. "Next."
"Lucario."
The bipedal canine fighting/steel type stepped up this time with an eager grin on it's face as it took Meditite's place across from me, grasping my hand with it's paw.
"Alright then, round two! Begin!" The booth owner declared, now sounding fired up after my first win.
"CAR!"
Lucario growled as it put all of it's strength into it's arm, trying to force mine back while I did the same to it. It was far stronger than the Meditite.
But not strong enough.
The sound of something solid hitting wood echoed as I slammed it's paw back into the table with enough force that the spike on the back of it's paw impaled it, sticking it there for a moment.
"Amazing!" The booth owner cried out, drawing a small crowd as people came to see what was going on.
"One more left." I said while looking up at the Machoke, who had a wide smile on it's face as it took Lucario's place, and readily grasped my hand with strength that could easily bend steel. So I squeezed it's hand back, and it's smile widened in anticipation.
"Round three, BEGIN!"
"CHOKE!"
Machoke roared as it tried to slam my hand down to the table, forcing me back almost all of the way in an instant before I fought back with everything I had.
"Not....yet....." I grunted while straining against the Machoke's strength, earning myself a round of gasps and murmurs of amazement from the gallery. But I just tuned them out while focusing on beating Machoke.
I had never tested how strong my body was after waking up in professor Oak's lab. But this was a chance to find out.
"You're mine!" I yelled while putting all of my strength in my arm, before slamming it down with enough force that table cracked. It actually fucking cracked.
"WINNER!" The booth owner yelled in excitment while cheers bombarded us from every direction from my victory.
"That was amazing!" May declared as she hugged me from behind, even as I calmly stood and faced the owner while leaving Machoke looking dazed from it's loss.
"So, what did I win?" I asked while turning towards the owner.
"You won this boy!" He delcared while proudly putting a pokeball in my hand.
"A pokemon?" I asked curiously.
"Yep! A Tyrogue. They evolve into one of three different pokemon depending on how they're raised. I look forward to what you make of yours after a show like that, sonny!" The owner declared proudly, while his pokemon all gave me the thumbs up.
~~~
Tyrogue- The Scuffle pokemon.
This pokemon becomes stressed if it does not train every single day. It is particularly famous for challenging stronger foes, and then nursing the injuries gained from such challenges. It is also one of the rare pokemon that possesses branch evolutions, evolving into either Hitmonchan, Hitmonlee, or Hitmontop.
~~~
"Nice." I said after scanning the pokemon, then sending it to professor Oak since I already had a full team on me. Plus I had more important things to worry about.
"I still can't believe that." May said as she linked her arm around mine, rubbing her body up against my side as we continued through the crowds. "I mean, we knew you were stronger than a normal human, and there was that thing with the helicopter. But beating a Machoke in a test of strength is something else entirely."
"I just didn't want to lose." I told her seriously. "Plus we still don't know how strong I actually am."
"Let's see what else you can do~!" May stated with mirth in her eyes, before she dragged me to the next booth.
The two of us busied ourselves with seeing how many games we could win prizes from, though not many were offering pokemon like the arm wrestling we just left. And even if they were, neither of us did that well at them anyways.
"Maybe its about time to call it a night?" I suggested as the crowds of people began to thin, and a couple of the booths closed up for the night.
"Alright. I'll show you to the hotel." May said while clutching a Torchic stuffy I had won her closely.
She led me once more, away from the park this time, and back into the city for a few blocks. As before, I didn't know where we were going until May led me to one of the tallest buildings around. A place just as fancy as the restaurant we were at earlier.
"Welcome sir, ma'am." The doorman said while holding it open for us, allowing us inside as May flashed her card-key to show she already had a room here.
"You can go ahead and check your pokemon in down the hall, that way." May said while pointing towards a sign that said 'Pokemon Spa'. "I'll head up while you do that. The room number is on the card-key."
I accepted the card May handed me before watching as she stepped onto an elevator, leaving me alone in the nearly empty lobby in the middle of the night.
The signs led me to a counter being manned by a kindly-looking lady who happily accepted my pokemon, promising that they would be well cared for during my stay. Of course, I still kept the egg I got from Celebi with me in it's incubator since I didn't want to be away from it when it hatched.
Once that was done, I also got on the elevator and headed up to the floor indicated by the card-key. The top floor by the look of it. And once the doors opened for me to get off, I found myself staring down at one of May's dark red heels.
"What is this doing here?" I asked while picking the heel up off the floor, before glancing over and seeing the other one down the hall. I walked down towards it while also keeping an eye on the room numbers around me for mine and May's room, only to see something else laying on the floor down the hall from the second heel.
May's dress.
My heart thundered in my chest as I imagined May strutting up and down the halls without it where anyone could see her, even more so as I collected it alongside the heels just to smell the perfume she'd been wearing on it as I did so.
I went further down the hall to where the room number on my card-key said, until I finally found said room.
Part of me wants to claim that I found the room thanks to matching numbers, but that would have been a lie. Instead, I had known this was our room far before I noticed the number thanks to a strip of dark red cloth hanging on the door handle, that turned out be a tiny sheer thong. Still warm as I picked it off the door handle to open it with my key.
"Noah..."
I heard May whisper my name as I opened the door, finding her inside waiting for me.
The light was low, preventing me from seeing the room in great detail, but even then I could see it was some kid of suite with a fireplace. And standing before it was May, dressed in some kind of short robe. The kind I felt like should only belong in erotic movies as it barely came down enough to cover her butt.
"May..." I said back to her, closing the door behind me before locking the latch to prevent us from being disturbed.
I dropped the clothes May had left in the hall and approached her while slowly unbuttoning my shirt, undoing the last button when I stood right in front of her before the fireplace. And now that I was here, I could see the silk robe hanging loosely on her so that it was just barely staying on her body.
"I've been waiting for this." May said as she reached out, putting her palm against my bare stomach through the gap in my shirt.
"So have I." I replied while doing the same, sliding my hands under the edge of her robe around the shoulders before it slid off of her body entirely.
May stood before me, naked as the day she was born without the slightest hint of shyness in her bearing. Instead, her hands roamed my upper body as if she were trying to memorize every single line and muscle.
I brought my own hands down from her shoulders, admiring the soft skin under my fingers as they found their way to her breasts, where I brushed my thumbs over her erect nipples lightly so that a gasp escaped her lips. But I didn't stop there.
Aside from the brief moment where May slid my shirt from my body, my hands never left her skin as I brought them further down until they came to rest on her hips. Then, with a tug, I pulled May into my body so that there was no space between us at all before she wrapped her arms around my neck and leaned up on her tiptoes to plant her lips against mine.
The kiss was slow at first. Sensual as we explored each other's mouths, May's tongue probbing at my lips before I parted them to let her inside. Then as our tongues tangled with one another, the kiss quickly became more heated.
I don't know when, but at some point my hands found her butt.
"Mhm..."
May moaned into my mouth as I groped and squeezed her cheeks, her leg even coming up to wrap around me possessively. This prompted me to move my hands from her butt to her thighs, lifting her effortlessly off the ground as she wrapped both legs around my waist for support.
With me completely supporting her weight, I carried May to the bed as our kiss continued until my knees hit the edge. Then May released her grip on my body, falling backwards onto the bed with her arms and legs flailed around her to give me an unobstructed view of her entire, beautiful, body.
"Come to me Noah..." She said in a voice that little more than a moan.
I don't recall taking my pants off.
I don't remember joining her on the bed.
All I remember was the feeling of May's body against mine as passion filled us. Slow, sensual passion that lasted until the sun began to peek through the window the next morning.
Neither of us were worried though. May had paid up through the next day, and neither of us considered leaving the room or even getting dressed as we indulged in each other's body and presence for the entire day.
