"You should rest while you are recovering." I said to Lindi. Ocello stepped up and I looked over to him in confusion.
"We will hunt for you for the next week," He said. For a moment, I didn't understand the expression on his face. Then I realized something. He felt guilty that Lindi and her husbands were targeted for being our friends.
It was something that I would need to discuss with him later, though I have a feeling that we would be of the same mind. Though it might have been an obvious realization, at the time, we were focused on saving his mother and fathers.
Even if I had gone back, the only difference is that I would have tried to seek Lindi out and warn her. But if it hadn't been her, it could have been anyone in the village.
I am not the type of person to turn a blind eye to a anyone suffering no matter who they are or our degree of acquaintance. Dala wouldn't have known that, though.
