The location David had in mind turned out to be a deserted alley that looked like it had been forgotten by civilization. He pulled his car to a stop and flashed me that trademark grin of his.
"Really?" I stared out at the abandoned space, then back at his confident expression. "This is your brilliant idea?"
That cocky smile never faltered. "Trust me. Nobody ever comes through here."
"I was expecting your family estate or at least a decent hotel room!"
"The closest hotel is quite a drive from here," he complained, his bottom lip jutting out slightly. "I'm not that patient, beautiful."
I let out a frustrated breath when I realized arguing was pointless. "How exactly do you know about this place?" He just shrugged with that infuriating smirk. The realization hit me immediately. "You whore."
"Mmm," he hummed as his palms framed my face. "Already giving me pet names?"
