Caleb's POV
I grabbed my jacket and car keys from my office, making sure to pocket the small recording device. My assistant needed to know exactly where I was heading and who I was meeting. With Bonita involved, precautions weren't optional anymore. That woman was unpredictable at best, dangerous at worst.
The drive to the bar gave me too much time to think, and my mind kept circling back to the same impossible questions.
She knew. Somehow, this human woman had discovered what my family truly was. Not just me, but all of us. The knowledge should have been impossible for her to obtain. We lived thousands of miles apart, on different continents. Our pack had spent generations perfecting the art of blending in, of appearing completely human. Yet she had seen through it all.
