The next morning Gareth gently wakes Anna. "Anna, your beautiful enough, no need for more beauty sleep" As Anna stirs, she realizes what Gareth just said and blushes. "You can't say things like that!" Anna exclaims. Gareth just laughs and says "now that we are outside the palace, I don't need to be so proper haha."
As they leave the inn, Anna notices a group of humans following them. Gareth is instantly suspicious, as it's very rare for humans to venture into their kingdom. "Where are you travelers headed?" Asks Gareth. The humans all drop the pretense and begin to attack Gareth, the humans are from a nearby human kingdom, and launch an assassination attempt less than a mile from the city. Before the assassins can reach him he kills 20 of the 30 assassins with a barrage of lightning spells, focusing on the closest assassins. Before he can say anything, the furious Anna Lights the entire field ablaze with a highly destructive fire spell, killing and incinerating all the bodies of the group. Gareth stares at the aftermath. "Anna, how are we supposed to question them now?" Gareth Scolds. Anna looks up with a complex emotion on her face, "oops, I just got so mad that someone dared attack you, I guess I overdid it Anna remarks." Gareth just takes her hand and heads back to the palace, with Anna's nature, he expected nothing less from the fierce beauty.
