Chapter 2 - Sinfully Yours Chapter 2

THE NEW STUDENT

Adrian Marco POV

The first day at St. John's International School was… overwhelming. New halls, new faces, new rules. I kept my headphones on, book in hand, trying to make myself invisible. Being noticed was the last thing I wanted.

Rowan thrived in chaos — greeting everyone, making friends instantly. I just stayed in my lane. Observing first, blending in, that was always my style.

Walking down the corridor, fully absorbed in my book, I barely noticed the girl until it was too late.

Bam.

I collided with someone. Hard.

"Oh! I'm… I'm sorry," I muttered, stepping back instinctively.

She stumbled, her heels slipping beneath her, and she fell to the floor.

"Oh no… that was one of my favorite heels," she muttered, clearly irritated. She didn't look at me. Didn't even acknowledge my presence. She scrambled to her feet and stormed past, an envelop in her hand, heels clicking, attitude blazing.

I didn't follow. I didn't turn back. Not even a glance. Let her think what she wanted. Most people… they were selfish, predictable, and a little bit useless. Maybe she was the same.

I simply straightened my book, adjusted my headphones, and walked on. The collision had happened. The apology was said. That was enough.

Something about her presence lingered in my mind, though — bold, unapologetic, impossible to ignore. But I didn't chase. I never chased.

Ahh! Damn Adrian you need to focus on your studies only remember what happened earlier

This time that shouldn't be happened.

I stepped into the classroom, trying to stay calm. All eyes turned toward the "new student," and I could feel whispers brushing past me like a breeze.

"Good morning, class," Mrs. Isabella, our teacher, greeted warmly. "This is Adrian Marco. He's a transfer student, and I hope you'll all cooperate with him and help him settle in."

I nodded politely. "Hello, everyone. I'm Adrian Marco. I'm new here, and I hope we can…umm... help each other in class," I said, voice steady, avoiding too much attention.

Finding a seat was already tricky. Most desks were taken. Ms. Isabella, our class teacher, gestured towards an empty seat actually two seats I guess the person hadn't came yet.

"Adrian, please sit next to Elena Collins. That seat is free," she said.

I hesitated for a second — not because of her, but because the rest of the room was already buzzing with whispers. Shrugging, I walked over, completely unaware that this was the same girl I had just collided with in the hallway.

Sliding into the seat , I quietly took out my notebook, textbooks, and pens. Focus. Stay invisible. Don't make waves.

Behind me, a few girls whispered, clearly gossiping about that girl Elena and the new boy.

"Do you think he can handle sitting with her?" one hissed.

"I don't know… she's impossible," another replied.

I ignored them. Let them talk. Their words didn't concern me.

And then… she arrived. Elena Collins. Heels clicking, bag in hand, aura of confidence like she owned the place. She froze when she saw me sitting there.

Her jaw tightened. "Move!" she snapped, slamming her bench with force.

I looked up calmly. "There wasn't any other seat available, so I sat here. Besides… this isn't only your seat."

Her eyes widened, glares shooting at me. Clearly, she didn't expect me to answer back.

"Ugh… fine," she huffed after a tense pause, glancing toward Mrs. Isabella, who subtly gestured that sharing the seat was the only option.

We both sat there, silent, irritation thick in the air. She made sure everyone saw her annoyance, flipping her hair, crossing her legs. I kept my focus on my notes, pretending not to notice her attempts to irritate me.

From the back, I could hear laughter. Jaiz and Mike, her friends I guess , clearly enjoying the show. Whispering, giggling — the chaos of the day already following her everywhere.

I didn't look up. Didn't react. Focused on my work. Let her think what she wanted.

Because in this classroom, in this seat, this was just the beginning.

Elena's POV

After that embarrassing fall, I felt a wave of irritation wash over me. As soon as I got up, a bunch of boys rushed over to help, but I was too proud to accept it. Instead, I scanned the corridor and spotted that stupid guy. He had walked away without even a second glance, as if I were invisible though he said sorry but that wasn't enough for what he did. It stung, and I felt a surge of frustration.

I straightened myself up, refusing any help, and made my way to the classroom, in a very bad mood.

When I walked in, Mrs. Smith told me I had to share my seat with the new student Adrian. And that was the moment I realized — it was the same guy from the hallway. My irritation doubled.

I marched over and slapped my hand on the desk, demanding him to move. He calmly replied that there was no other seat and that it wasn't just mine anyway. I was fuming, but I had no choice but to sit down as I couldn't disobey Mrs.Smith.

Agh frustrating !

Throughout the class, I tried my best to show how annoyed I was, but he didn't even react. I was expecting an apology, but no such luck. Meanwhile, Jaiz and Mike were whispering and giggling at the back, clearly enjoying the drama.

When lunch time finally came, me , Jaiz and Mike went to the cafeteria and I was still lost in thoughts. How dare he just push me aside like that? Usually, everyone rushes to help me when I stumble, but he just walked off.

Jaiz noticed my mood and asked, "Why are you so spaced out?"

I just shrugged, not wanting to explain. Then some friends of Jaiz and Mike joined us, and I quickly texted someone to find out more about Adrian. I needed to know everything about him.

A few moments later, I got a message back: his father is a lawyer, his mother is a college professor, and he has a twin brother named Rowan, who's also at the same school but in a different section. Apparently, Rowan is quite the charmer.

I quickly texted back: "Keep an eye on him for me. I want updates. I need to get back at him."

With that, I put my phone away and finally started eating my lunch, my mind still buzzing with thoughts of Adrian.I shot him a cold look and murmured, "Watch me, Adrian. You don't know me."
