Half an hour later.

Outside of Loran town.

"Zeros, although I've said this to you many times, I still want to thank you again before I leave. If it weren't for you, let alone completing this mission, it would be questionable whether we could even come out alive."

Mirajane and the other two stood together, looking at Zeros on the other side. Mirajane once again sincerely thanked him.

Zeros waved his hand, and said, "I don't know how many times I've heard you say that these past few days, so there's no need to say it again. My ears are practically calloused from hearing it so much."

Upon hearing this, Mirajane smiled, for she had indeed repeated many similar words of thanks over the past few days.

This, however, precisely proves the immense extent of her gratitude towards Zeros for the Beast King incident.

"After leaving here, we plan to go straight back to the guild," Mirajane said, looking at Zeros. "What about you? As a wandering mage, what are your plans for the future?"

"What other plans could I have?" Zeros looked up at the sky and said with great nonchalance, "A wandering mage, of course, means wandering around!"

"Brother Zeros."

Hearing Zeros's words, Lisanna, who had been standing silently to the side, suddenly shouted and said, "If Brother Zeros has nowhere to go, why not come to Fairy Tail? Fairy Tail is the best guild in the world, just like home. Brother Zeros, you will definitely like it here."

"That's right!" Mirajane's eyes lit up as well, inwardly applauding Lisanna's suggestion. She then smiled confidently and said, "If Zeros is interested, I can recommend you to the guild leader. My influence in the guild is quite significant. Besides, as Lisanna said, you'll definitely like our guild once you join."

Although Elfman didn't speak, he nodded heavily to Zeros, fully supporting her joining his guild.

Home...

Zeros silently murmured to himself, a certain string in his heart being slightly plucked by that word. To be honest, what Lisanna and the other person said did indeed make him a little tempted.

Over the past three days, his impression of them has been steadily improving as he has spent time with them.

Zeros didn't know what Mirajane's personality was like before, but after spending three days with her, the personality she displayed was completely different from when they first met in the Beast King Mountain Range. If she had to describe her in four words, it would be gentle and graceful.

Zeros was confident that if Mirajane, with her current personality, shed her rebellious girl persona and donned more ladylike attire, coupled with her stunning beauty, she would undoubtedly become a peerless beauty who would captivate the world.

What Zeros didn't know was that his idea actually came true after Mirajane returned to Fairy Tail, and the personality changes that occurred in her initially surprised everyone in Fairy Tail for quite some time.

No matter how they asked, Mirajane's only response was that gentle and serene smile.

Perhaps only Lisanna and Elfman, as the parties involved, know the key point: Mirajane's change was solely due to what happened in the Beast King Mountains, and perhaps also to that person...

Then there's Lisanna. Zeros could never be indifferent to this sweet-smiling girl who always called him "Brother Zeros." Her smile seemed to melt everything. Even Zeros's heart, which had been frozen after the Village massacre, began to melt under the influence of her smile. At the very least, it brought a long-lost feeling of warmth to his heart.

Over the course of these three days, even he himself almost began to have a hallucination, as if the girl really was his sister.

Whenever he thought of this, Zeros felt a strange resentment towards his father, resenting him for not giving him a younger sister...

Zeros felt that the only way to deal with a girl like this was to spoil her.

Seeing the intense anticipation in the two girls' eyes, Zeros truly couldn't bear to refuse them. However, thinking of what he was carrying, he hesitated, shook his head, and resolutely refused, "I'm sorry, although I really want to join you, but—"

"I have very important things to do!"

As soon as Zeros finished speaking, the expectation in the two women's eyes immediately turned into deep disappointment.

Lisanna wanted to say something to persuade him to stay, but when she saw the determination in Zeros's eyes, she swallowed her words and looked at Zeros with her big, watery eyes, whispering, "Then you must come to Fairy Tail to see me in the future, Zeros-nee."

Zeros stepped forward, standing in front of Lisanna. He placed his long, slender hand on her smooth, silver-white short hair, a rare smile appearing on his face. He said firmly, "Definitely!"

"kindness!"

Lisanna nodded in satisfaction, then suddenly said, "Brother Zeros, you look more handsome when you smile!"

"Huh?" Zeros was taken aback at first, then suddenly realized that he had been laughing less and less ever since leaving Village...

"Brother Zeros, promise Lisanna you'll smile more often, okay? Because...because..." Lisanna's face flushed red, she pouted, and then shouted, "Because Brother Zeros is the most handsome when he smiles!"

Hearing Lisanna's somewhat "nonsensical" request, Zeros chuckled, patted her head, and nodded with a smile, replying, "Okay."

He had already rejected this little girl once, and he couldn't refuse her a second time, or she would really get angry. As a responsible older brother, he couldn't let his sister be unhappy!

Upon receiving Zeros's reply, Lisanna finally smiled happily. It was clear that Zeros really cared for her.

After chatting casually for a while, the group finally decided to leave.

Mirajane and her two companions were the first to leave.

Outside Loran Town, watching the figure gradually disappear into the distance, Zeros withdrew his gaze, the smile on his face vanished, and he returned to his indifferent demeanor. Then, he gently put the black robe on his head and turned to walk in another direction.

When he said he had something important to do, he wasn't just trying to appease them; there really was something very important for him waiting to be accomplished.

This matter is about—revenge!

In the past six months, he has never forgotten the vow he made in front of the graves of hundreds of villagers!

Grim Reaper Erigor!

The man who destroyed everything he had, he wanted to kill him every moment.

Previously, due to his limited strength, he could only suppress this hatred in his heart and devote all his time to training to improve his strength.

One of the reasons he chose to leave today was that there was no point in him staying any longer. He originally chose to come to Loran Town because the Beast King Mountain Range next to Loran Town was an excellent training ground.

But now that he has defeated even the most powerful beast king in the Beast King Mountain Range, there is no longer any value in training here.

The second reason was that he felt his strength was sufficient to fulfill the vow he had made! His first priority upon leaving Loran Town was to find Erigor...
