Chapter 4 Devil School Life Begins
The morning sun streamed through Kuromiya Academy's towering windows.
To any human, it looked like a normal high school students rushing to class, laughter echoing in the hallways.
But to Ren Asakura, it was now ground zero for devils, dragons, and deadly secrets.
He rubbed his left arm, now still shimmering with faint red scales.
"So… school again… but I'm a devil now?"
Riasha, walking beside him in her uniform, smirked. "Yes. You need to maintain appearances. Humans mustn't know what you truly are… yet."
"Maintain appearances? You mean… hide my Dragon Emperor arm under my sleeve?"
Riasha chuckled. "Exactly. Though you might want to avoid fighting Fallen Angels during gym class."
Ren groaned. "Not like I was planning to…"
Meeting the Peerage in Class
Riasha guided him to Class 2-B, ostensibly his new homeroom.
Inside, five students immediately stood out — his devil peerage.
Lena was leaning on a desk, swinging her twin blades like casual accessories. "Morning, human boy. Try not to burn the place down today."
Kuro was silently sharpening a massive sword. "If you do, I'll clean it up… with you."
Mina adjusted her glasses, her eyes scanning the classroom like she expected enemies everywhere. "Control your aura. Last time, you set the floor on fire."
Takuya, sitting smugly at the back, raised an eyebrow. "You're alive… barely. I'll be watching you, pawn."
Riasha took the front, elegantly straightening her uniform. "Let's start with introductions… again."
Ren whispered to himself, "This is gonna be fun…"
Classroom Chaos
Class began like any normal high school lesson except for one small problem: Ren's dragon energy occasionally leaked out.
When a classmate sneezed too loudly, the back of his sleeve caught fire.
"Ah! Sorry!!" Ren yelled, stomping the flames out.
Lena laughed. "Looks like we've got a spicy one!"
Mina muttered, "If he doesn't learn to control that arm, he'll bring the school down in a week."
Takuya smirked. "I'll personally make sure he does."
Even Riasha couldn't hide a grin. "Ren, this is your new life. Training doesn't stop outside the battlefield. Control your power… or your peers will do it for you."
Lunchtime Training
After classes, Riasha led Ren to a secluded courtyard one of the "training grounds" for devils.
"Today, you'll learn to channel Ddraegon's power into controlled attacks," she explained.
Ren's left arm glowed again. Scales crawling up, heat rising.
"Time to test this human," Ddraegon rumbled inside his mind.
Ren clenched his fist and released a small burst of red energy a fireball the size of a baseball.
"Not bad," Riasha praised. "Now try it without the flames spreading. Precision matters more than raw strength."
He tried again. This time, the fireball hovered perfectly in the air before disappearing in a puff of smoke.
"Perfect!" Riasha smiled. "With practice, you'll rival even Takuya."
Takuya, leaning against a tree nearby, muttered, "We'll see about that."
The First School Day Fun
After training, the peerage decided to take Ren on a tour of the academy except Lena had her own idea.
"First lesson as a devil… let's have some fun."
Before Ren could react, Lena grabbed him by the arm and pulled him into the girls' dormitory courtyard a prank meant to embarrass him.
"W-what the hell!" Ren yelped, energy leaking from his arm, turning the bushes into scorched ruins.
Mina facepalmed. "Seriously? Already?"
Riasha laughed softly. "This is your new life, Ren. Get used to it."
Even Kuro and Takuya shook their heads in amusement. The first day back wasn't just about battles it was about learning devil etiquette, handling pranks, and surviving peerage teasing.
And deep down, Ren realized… he actually enjoyed it.
"Yeah," he thought, smiling. "Being the Crimson Dragon Emperor isn't that bad… as long as I don't burn the school down."
