Chapter 1 - The System Awakens

The last thing Kaito remembered was the vibrant blue hair of Goku battling Jiren on his 65-inch 4K screen. The air conditioning was humming, the smell of stale pizza lingered, and he was firmly planted on his worn couch, halfway through his fifth straight hour of the Tournament of Power arc.

Then, the world fractured.

It wasn't a slow fade or a gentle transition. It was like being hit by a cosmic air horn. A flash of blinding, teal light consumed his vision, followed by a violent, stomach-churning sensation of being stretched thin and snapped back into place.

Kaito gasped, coughing, his hands instinctively bracing against rough, sun-baked earth. The scent of pine and wild grass—real, sharp scents—flooded his nose, replacing the scent of his living room. When he finally opened his eyes, he was staring up at a sky that was too blue, ringed by bizarre, elongated clouds he'd never seen before. Towering over him were mountains that looked eerily familiar, rugged and sparse, like something out of an early 90s anime backdrop.

He shot to his feet, adrenaline overriding confusion. "What... where am I? Did I pass out?"

As he looked down, his anxiety spiked again. He was no longer wearing his graphic t-shirt and sweats. Instead, he wore a simple, lightweight black Gi with silver trim that felt perfectly tailored. His body felt different too—lighter, faster, and humming with an immense, dormant energy that felt like a silent, contained nuclear reactor.

Before he could panic further, a crisp, digital tone sliced through the air, audible only in his mind.

 [...ZENITH SYSTEM INITIALIZING...]

 [USER IDENTITY CONFIRMED: KAITO]

[NEW ENVIRONMENT DETECTED: PLANET EARTH (Universe 7, Age 761)]

[INITIATING PRIMARY POWER GRANT: ZENITH SAIYAN PHYSIOLOGY]

 [POWER BASELINE ESTABLISHED.]

Kaito froze, his breath catching in his throat. Age 761. That meant... that meant this was real. He was in Dragon Ball.

He instinctively rubbed his eyes, half-expecting the floating blue panel to vanish. It didn't. The panel simply transitioned to display his status.

KAITO: STATUS

RACE: Zenith Saiyan (Human Soul)

MASTERY RANK: D (Suppressing)

BASE POWER LEVEL (Suppressed): Unmeasurable

ACTUAL POWER LEVEL (Base):100,000,000,000,000 (100 Trillion)

ACTIVE TECHNIQUES: Zenith Ki Control (Perfect), Standard Flight

EQUIPMENT: Zenith Gi (Self-Healing)

SYSTEM TOKENS: 0

Kaito stared at the numbers. He was hyperventilating, but his heart, impossibly, remained calm, thanks to the inherent control granted by the Zenith Saiyan body.

"One hundred... trillion," he whispered, the sheer scale of the number feeling like a physical weight in the air. That wasn't just powerful—that was Divine Ki, the kind of power that defied all mortal measurement. It was his baseline, placing him on a plane of existence no Z Fighter had yet dreamed of. The power of a Super Saiyan God, gifted to him instantly.

He was the definition of overpowered.

[MISSION LOG UPDATED.]

The status window shrank, replaced by a bold, red-text notification.

CRITICAL MISSION: THE THREAT ARRIVES

OBJECTIVE: Defeat the incoming extra-terrestrial threat, Raditz, and prevent the death of Son Goku. The fate of the early timeline rests on your intervention.

TIME REMAINING: 3 Weeks, 2 Days.

REWARD: 1,000 System Tokens. Unlock Mastery Rank C.

"Three weeks," Kaito muttered, a grin slowly stretching across his face, one that was equal parts terrified and exhilarated. "Raditz is coming. The Saiyan Saga is about to kick off."

He closed his eyes and focused, trying to tap into the wellspring of power that read '100 Trillion.' The pressure inside his chest was overwhelming, like containing a star, but the Zenith Ki Control was absolute. He could feel every atom of the energy, ready to be deployed.

He needed a controlled test.

He aimed his hand at a small, unassuming rock resting about twenty yards away. He did not power up, did not glow, and did not shout. He simply gathered a tiny, infinitesimal fraction of the ambient Ki into his index finger, focusing it down to a needle point—a power level of perhaps 100,000, entirely invisible to any normal sensor.

He flicked his finger.

The small, invisible projectile hit the rock. It didn't explode; it simply vanished into nothingness. The surrounding area, however, was not unscathed. A perfectly clean, spherical crater about twenty feet deep was instantly carved into the earth where the rock had been, the dirt molecules vaporized by the controlled energy.

"Oh," Kaito breathed, lowering his hand. "Right. God Ki is about existential deletion."

His grin widened again, turning into a satisfied, powerful smirk. "Okay, Zenith System. I accept the mission. Three weeks is enough time to get my bearings. Raditz... you're not going to know what hit you."
