The moment the high-pitched, insistent BEEP-BEEP-BEEP of an alien ship cut through the air, Kaito knew the countdown had reached zero.
"He's here," Kaito stated, his tone low and cold. "He will land his ship in the countryside and then fly straight for the highest concentration of power on the coast—Kame House. We must be there first."
Goku grabbed Kaito's shoulder, and Piccolo, without hesitation, grabbed Goku's. Kaito released a burst of focused Ki, and the three fighters blasted through the air in a single, noiseless streak. The trip was over in less than a heartbeat.
They materialized silently above the water near the Kame House island.
"We beat him," Goku whispered, marveling. "We're here before he even started flying."
Kaito briefly glanced at the group below. Bulma was there, looking exasperated while Master Roshi leered at a magazine. 'She's even more beautiful in person than on TV,' Kaito thought, his focus immediately snapping back to the threat.
Seconds later, a powerful, angry Ki signature descended rapidly from the sky.
Raditz arrived, landing powerfully on the sand in his battle armor. He activated his green scouter.
"What is this garbage?" Raditz scoffed, scanning the group on the patio. The scouter beeped: Krillin (206), Master Roshi (139).
He turned, locating the three figures hovering nearby. Goku and Piccolo were perfectly suppressing their newfound power down to their pre-training baselines.
Raditz aimed the scouter at Goku. BEEP! "Power Level: 416." Raditz then aimed at Piccolo. BEEP! "Power Level: 408."
"Still weaklings," Raditz sneered. "Kakarot, I am your brother, Raditz. You were sent here to conquer this planet, but you failed. You are coming with me now, or I will wipe every insect on this island from the face of the Earth."
Goku, his hands clenched, looked at Raditz. His new, five-times stronger Ki was a barely contained storm. "My name is Goku! I'm not going anywhere, Raditz. This planet is my home!"
"Foolishness," Raditz sneered, raising his hand to charge a blast.
Kaito stepped forward, placing himself directly between Raditz and the Z Fighters.
"You won't be wiping out anything," Kaito's voice was firm and final.
Raditz paused, aiming his attack at the man whose Ki signature was so perfectly suppressed, the scouter registered nothing but the ambient air (5). "And who are you, bug?"
Kaito didn't move. He simply projected an infinitesimal fraction of his Divine Ki, turning his internal Ki Pressure outward.
The air around Raditz crystallized under an impossible weight. Raditz screamed, the sound muffled by the pressure. His battle armor cracked instantly, and he slammed, face-first, into the sand. The scouter overloaded and exploded.
Raditz was completely paralyzed, pinned down by the sheer, unyielding presence of Kaito.
Goku and Piccolo, prepared by their brutal training, shuddered but remained standing, witnessing the immediate, terrifying defeat of their nemesis.
The confrontation was over.
