Chapter 423 - Misfortune

The Brass Greatsword descended from the Empyrean, piercing the veil of reality and cutting into the galaxy.

In an instant, reality collapsed and disintegrated, as a Warp torrent filled with blood energy overflowed from behind the galaxy. Thousands of light-years of deep space were cleaved open by the Brass Greatsword in the blink of an eye. Dozens of star systems were destroyed in the annihilation, and those stars that escaped the path of the Brass Greatsword were also affected by the Blood God's power, beginning to project deadly crimson radiation throughout their entire systems.

Immediately, a crimson scar appeared on the star map.

But the one star system targeted by the Blood God remained completely unscathed; that entire star system inexplicably vanished beneath the Blood God's sword, leaving no trace.

The Blood God was first bewildered, then shocked, and finally enraged.

He vaguely sensed where that star system had gone, where Angron, Khârn, Alexander, and the entire star system of Astartes had gone.

The Blood God raised his head, his gaze traversing layers of void, landing on the core of the Imperium of Man, on the Solar System, on Terra, and on the Imperial Palace.

The Blood God could feel that, in that very instant, the entire star system had been transferred into the Terra Imperial Palace.

Although he didn't understand how it was done, it was clear who had tricked the Blood God and who was the mastermind.

Especially when recalling Alexander's words before he disappeared with that star system, and Alexander's melancholic and apologetic gaze, the Blood God was instantly consumed by fury.

"Emperor!!!"

"The cursed one!!!"

"Liar!!!!"

The Blood God lifted his head on the Brass Throne, his gaze fixed on the pitch-black sun suspended in the Warp and the Golden Throne deep within the Terra Imperial Palace, directly at the decaying corpse.

Khorne raised the Brass Greatsword in his hand high, adopting a throwing posture on the Brass Throne, aiming directly at the Golden Throne deep within the Terra Imperial Palace.

But the dried corpse sitting on the Golden Throne made no movement; its empty eyes seemed to be watching Khorne with interest.

"Do you think I wouldn't dare?!"

"Are you questioning my courage?!"

The Blood God roared.

In Nurgle's Garden, Mortarion, who was manipulating dice and calculating the flow of fate, suddenly paused.

The snail shell in his hand slipped from his pale fingertips and shattered on the table.

Three twenty-sided dice didn't spin or roll; they stood upright on the tabletop, all showing thirteen pips.

Then, the three dice exploded, scattering into a pile of fragments on the table.

Mortarion looked at the fragments on the table in horror. His superhuman brain quickly calculated that there were one hundred and sixty-nine fragments on the table.

"Thirteen."

"Dark King."

"Great Omen of Misfortune!!!"

Mortarion growled.

After Mortarion, the second to sense that something was wrong was Tzeentch, who was currently fending off the invasions of Nurgle and Slaanesh.

Tzeentch noticed that fate was slowly turning dark, gradually flowing towards a future of complete destruction.

The Lord of Change cried out in alarm, no longer caring about Nurgle and Slaanesh's invasion, and directly projected his power into the Blood God's domain.

"Khorne! What are you doing!!!"

The Lord of Change cawed, and fate no longer resisted Tzeentch's manipulation; instead, it cooperated with Tzeentch, weaving crystal-like threads to entangle the Blood God, stopping his unwise action.

At the same time, Nurgle and Slaanesh also realized what Khorne intended to do. They quickly abandoned their invasion of Tzeentch's domain and extended their power into the Blood God's realm.

"Calm down, calm down. What could be worth such hatred and anger?" Nurgle, the Father, cradled his large belly and looked towards the Blood God's domain. As his gentle words echoed, the daemons in the Blood God's domain immediately grew somewhat milder, and pustules began to appear on their bodies.

Compared to the Father's gentleness, Slaanesh was much more direct.

"You red-skinned lunatic!! Where were you ten thousand years ago?! Just busy beating me up, right?!"

"He's a toilet full of shit now, do you know that, you idiot?!"

Slaanesh's shrill screams were like deadly demonic music; countless Khorne daemons shrieked as their existence was torn apart by the sound.

Besides the Four Gods, the lesser entities in the Warp also cast their gazes.

The shadowy entity, the first among the lesser entities to sense danger, emitted threatening Damning sounds.

Vashtorr peered out from the Soul Forge, showing the Blood God the contract they had signed. The Blood God's current actions violated the contract.

Gork and Mork appeared in the green tide, briefly stopping their mutual fighting because the red dog head intended to leave them with no fights left.

Cegorach also cast his gaze from the Black Library, using a mocking, cunning voice to advise the Blood God against acting impulsively.

The figure of Tavya also emerged from a remote corner of the Warp, using the philosophy of the Greater Good to argue that the Blood God's actions were wrong.

Even reality itself relaxed its resistance against the Warp in other areas, focusing on reinforcing reality near Terra.

The Blood God cursed intensely, then slammed the Brass Greatsword back beside the throne. In an instant, the entire Warp shook, and cracks appeared on the other three gods and their domains.

But they didn't care; as long as they stopped the Blood God's impulsive behavior, these minor injuries were nothing. They quickly retreated to their own domains to repair the damaged parts.

The Blood God's gaze swept over the lesser entities that had just appeared.

The shadowy entity hummed, but the Blood God's gaze couldn't penetrate the shadow, finding no target to strike.

Vashtorr held the contract; he was, after all, an ally of the Blood God, and the Blood God would not attack him.

Gork and Mork returned to the green tide, resuming their endless fighting, requiring no action from the Blood God.

Cegorach was hidden in the Black Library, and the Blood God would have a hard time extracting him, making it impossible to strike.

Finally, the Blood God's gaze fell upon Tavya.

Tavya, who was trying to argue that the Blood God's actions did not conform to the Greater Good, let out a terrified shriek, and hideous bloody gashes suddenly appeared on her body.

She was utterly terrified and quickly fled into the Warp torrent, disappearing without a trace.

A cold sneer crossed the lips of the dried corpse on the throne, then he looked before him.

A small star system, about a meter wide, floated before the Golden Throne, with the Light Lord, the Blessed Lady, the Conqueror, and the Rock starships docked within it.

It was as if the star system targeted by the Blood God had been shrunken and moved before the Golden Throne.

"What do you mean 'forced by the Emperor, with no other choice'? Most of these were your bad ideas, weren't they?"

The Emperor's voice resonated through Psyker energy, reaching Alexander's ears.

Alexander, aboard the Blessed Lady, smiled as he pulled out an anywhere door, saying:

"Anyway, your credit score is already as low as it can get."

"I'm different; my credit is much more valuable than yours."
