Chapter 383 - Greater Daemonette

The Primarch's rejection made Erebus' body stiffen slightly. He had never quite understood why Lorgar had developed a certain aloofness, rejection, and dislike towards him after a certain point in the Great Heresy.

Now, Erebus was in a life-or-death situation, precisely when he needed the Primarch's protection, yet Lorgar so overtly displayed his disgust, as if he would be happy to see Erebus die.

This left Erebus extremely puzzled. Although it might sound strange, Lorgar was actually a good-tempered Primarch. Before that shadow appeared in the Eye of Terror, he would often respond to the prayers of the Word Bearers in their life-or-death moments, even those peripheral, less important Word Bearers.

But he specifically expressed rejection towards Erebus, despite Erebus being the most outstanding Word Bearer. It was truly baffling.

Just as Erebus had never understood how Khârn came to know that he was the murderer of Angron.

At that time, Erebus had acted in secret, and very few people knew the answer to that question. Erebus had not figured it out in ten thousand years.

"I don't think Lorgar will help Erebus."

On the Light Lord's bridge,

In response to Titus' suggestion that Erebus might seek help from his gene-father, Lorgar, Khârn offered a rebuttal.

In fact, Khârn agreed with Titus' guess; Erebus might indeed seek help from Lorgar.

But Lorgar would most likely not help Erebus.

"Ten thousand years ago, it was Lorgar who told me that Erebus was the murderer of Angron."

"There might be some conflict between them."

Khârn still remembered the situation at the time, what happened in Lorgar's cramped meditation chamber on the Conqueror.

Khârn had originally come to question Lorgar about Angron's daemonhood. He didn't get an answer about that, but he did get an answer about Angron's death.

"Khârn." Lorgar called out to Khârn, who was about to turn and leave.

Khârn turned his head and saw Lorgar finally deign to lift his head from the parchment, looking at Khârn.

To Khârn's shock, he saw coldness, pain, and sadness in Lorgar's eyes, as well as a noble and restrained anger.

That single look made Khârn freeze in place, only managing to open his mouth and ask, "My lord?"

"Do you want to know…" Lorgar said softly, "who killed Angron?"

Khârn got the answer to this question from Lorgar's mouth, knowing where the arrow of hatred should be pointed.

"I don't know why Lorgar told me about Erebus' actions."

"Perhaps there was some conflict between them, some power struggle, but I didn't delve into it at the time."

Khârn's words left Alexander a little speechless.

In Alexander's opinion, the reason Lorgar hated and detested Erebus was obvious, yet Khârn hadn't realized it.

"It's because of Angron," Alexander explained to Khârn. "Angron was the Blessed Son, a perfect example of complete integration with a daemon. He represented Lorgar's ideal of humanity coexisting perfectly with the Warp and daemons."

"So Angron was the embodiment of Lorgar's ideals, and also Lorgar's most beloved son."

"But Erebus killed him, so of course Lorgar would be angry and detest Erebus."

"Yet he is still Lorgar, unable to defy the will of the Chaos Gods."

"And Erebus had other uses in the Gods' plans. Lorgar couldn't personally avenge Angron, so he revealed all this to Khârn, hoping he could avenge him against Erebus."

Khârn was silent for a moment, recalling the anger that Lorgar had hidden deep within his soul, almost imperceptible, and suddenly found it all made sense.

Listening to Alexander's words, everyone else present was slightly stunned. What kind of person was this Angron, to not only be remembered by Khârn for ten thousand years, but even to make Lorgar secretly defy the will of the Gods and have Khârn kill Erebus?

"He was an idiot." Raum, parasitic on Khârn, seemed to sense the thoughts in everyone's minds and emerged from Khârn's body, saying with resentment, "I advised him to kill Erebus long ago, but he wouldn't listen to me."

Although Raum was complaining, everyone present could hear his affection for Angron and his hatred for Erebus.

Could it be that Angron was actually a Slaanesh Chosen? A Greater Daemonette of Chaos? This thought suddenly popped into the minds of those present.

"This time, we'll all listen to your advice," Alexander said to Raum.

Then he pulled out two bottles of black potion from his four-dimensional pocket and handed them to Khârn and Raum, indicating one bottle for each of them.

"You can drink them now," Alexander said.

Khârn and Raum didn't hesitate, taking the potions and drinking them.

Then, the man and the daemon felt it for a moment but didn't notice any change in themselves.

"It won't affect you, but rather Erebus."

Alexander had spent the past few days browsing the Future Department Store's product catalog.

The previous operation on the Conqueror had already revealed all the cards in Erebus' hand.

Alexander only needed to choose the appropriate items based on Erebus' hand.

The two bottles of potion that Khârn and Raum drank were part of that plan.

Alexander opened his mouth slightly, wanting to briefly explain the purpose of the two potions to them.

But just as he was about to speak, he suddenly felt a strange sensation. After a brief stunned, he turned to look at Emperor Nobita standing beside him.

Alexander's eyes moved slightly, and after turning his head, he quickly informed Khârn, Titus, Sarojin, and others of the action plan he, Guilliman, and Sanguinius had formulated in their small meeting.

Then, he and Emperor Nobita returned to Alexander's own room.

Alexander looked at Emperor Nobita.

During the meeting, the Emperor's will had suddenly surged into Nobita's body, seemingly to tell Alexander something.

A faint golden glow flickered in Emperor Nobita's black eyes.

"After learning that the Avenger is Khârn, the Penitent is Luther, and the Envious is Be'lakor, the fate of the galaxy has become clearer and more certain before my eyes."

"I see that in the near future, the galaxy's timeline will become chaotic, with past and future connected."

The galaxy's timeline is chaotic?

This made Alexander raise his eyebrows slightly, feeling a little curious.

"Ouroboros, the Tuchulcha Engine, Plagueheart."

Emperor Nobita said softly,

"Are you aware of the existence of these three Old One artifacts?"
