Noelle open her eyes and stared at the ceiling she had just woken up, breathing out through her mouth she moved her hands in search for her phone to check what the time was she found it under her pillow and saw it was just 7:32 a.m. Thank God it's already school break she thought "No more school!" she stretched her arms out while standing up from her bed, don't get her wrong yes she was a nerd ,with the glasses ,the brain and everything else ,doesn't mean she liked School, nobody does! She couldn't wait to be done with it mainly high school. She liked reading books doesn't mean they were about atoms or the human body , no, more of romantic novels to be precise one of the reasons she excels in school was because of he photographic memory or maybe she was naturally born smart because she doesn't really put that much effort in school what she really hated was the people. High School was a place where you " kill or be killed" metaphorically or just be a ghost as she was, a lot of things that were talked about in high-school novles were true, at least kind of; the bullying, the popularity bullshit. Where it was like an animal kingdom and food chains existed. The one that wasn't true was the romance part , which hasnt particularly happened to her.
She dragged her feet to the vanity table at the side of her room and looked herself in the long mirror, placing her hands on her waist trying to suck in her not so flat tummy and check if she had lost any weight over the School break, yes she was also fat not only was she a nerd with glasses she was fat. Although she didn't really see anything wrong with the glasses since she was the one that put them on herself ,they were fake ,having an eye issue wouldmake life so much harder for her if added to her being fat, the fourth child in a family of five children making her the least special one and also unpopular in high school , she wore the glasses in hopes that it would highlight her shiny blue eyes and she just gotten used to them ,even to the point she sleeps with them. She looked at her dishelved self in the mirror; seeing her joggers that were big but still clung to her thighs showing how big they were, her tank top that clung to her stomch showing all her fat folds , then her face that consisted of dishelved golden silky hair placed in a bun with some strands falling on her face and glasses that were placed in the crook of a nose "Ahh what a beauty" she says sarcastically while posing dramatically in front of the mirror.
She went to take a shower in her bathroom, got dressed in clothes consisting of another baggy blue joggers , and the black baggy T-shirt, with her hair still put up in a bun , she wore her shoes and went down the stairs ,she noticed that the house was empty knowing her parents were already at work, and the rest of the people who lived here were all in one place or the other , like her elder sister, the first child of the Brian family ; Elaine Brian didn't live with them since she was over 20 and done with college , while her two older brothers the second and third children of the Brian family respectively named;Michael and Nelson Brian were both in colleges together while her sister who was also on a 2 months school break was probably at the neighbors house playing with their kids she walked towards the dining table and saw muffins that her mom had baked the previous night after having them with milk she decided to go for a stroll and get some of her favourite snacks to munch on.
On her stroll she was greeted by some neighbours and people that she met on the road since their family was quite known around their neighbourhood with their mom being a great nurse and their Dad an amazing attorney and their parents helped out their neighbours quite a little, so whenever any Brian family member went out they were always coddled and taken care of but as always there are disadvantages and advantages , they were all too nosy people that told their parents every thing and anything they saw their kids do.
On getting to the convenience store and knowing exactly where the snacks she wanted were took at least 5 from each from the counter consisting of chocolates , cookies and others ,went straight to the cashier to pay since there wasn't any line
" Hey Matt " she said to the cashier Guy named Mateo they rewere quite familiar since she was a usual customer at the store.
" Noelleyy" he said dragging her name " Hey , I see you are here again , not very surprising though " he said with a chuckle.
" Of course, gotta restock " Noelle said joining him to laugh " Come on let me check you out with your bill"
" Don't i get a little discount as a usual customer here" She said while fake pouting , Matt just chucked at her antics and eventually gave her the discount she wanted so much , because it was true she was a usual customer here so it wouldn't be off to give her a discount once in a while.
When she was done with all our payments , seeing the discount Matt gave her, she smiled and blew him a kiss in the air causing Mateo to chuckle , this wasn't new between them because they all lived in the same neighbourhood and were close family friends , even her siblings and parents come here to buy things sometimes. Bidding him goodbye she walked home with her snacks in a bag in her hand , swinging it back and forth and daydreaming of how when she gets home she would munch on them while reading her current book with her ear buds on while listening to Sam Smith, Smiling she decided to rush home at that thought.
On her way she started singing What's Going On by Cardi b " and i say heyyyyyy heyyyyyy , i say hey , whats going on..." she was a pretty good singer she thought to her self ,when she suddenly heard a Commotion up front , What's going on ? she thought.
