Saturday evening arrived with a crisp December air that made Hailey grateful for the warm coat Eric had insisted she wear.
The wrap party was being held at one of the nicer restaurants in the entertainment district, a place with warm lighting and exposed brick walls that made it feel both professional and welcoming.
Hailey had spent extra time getting ready, choosing a simple but elegant black dress that made her feel confident without being too formal.
She wanted to look nice for the celebration, but more importantly, she wanted Eric to feel proud to be there with her.
"Do I look okay?" Hailey asked as they walked toward the restaurant.
"You look beautiful," Eric replied simply.
"Not too much?" Hailey pressed.
"Perfect," Eric assured her.
As they walked up to the restaurant entrance, Hailey could hear the sound of laughter and conversation drifting out from inside.
