The vampires councils meeting ended on time. The council liked up and was leaving one by one. For some reason they didn't teleport or fly....
They all looked various ages but it was difficult to guess their age. Some preferred looking middle aged while some preferred staying young. Some staying young were older than those looking middle aged as vampires could change their appearance if they wished to. They could choose to be old or young
Genevieve sterling was her name....she was the only female official in the vampire council...she was the female that the vampires a s a whole wanted as queen ..besides it was an open secret that she was madly in love with the king...but the king didn't like her.

"Genevieve do you have something to say to me?"
"Yes your highness"
"What is it??"
"It's about the rumors. I just wanted to confirm if it was true.."
"What rumors??"
"About you getting a mate.."
"It's true." Darius said and added
"If there's nothing else take your leave"
He didn't want her asking any more questions and he was already aware of her feelings for him.....
Pain was reflected in her eyes but she nodded and said 'curiously'
"Is she from the vampire settlement?"
"No"
She wanted to ask more but he had already stated his piece and besides he told her to leave a long time ago. Sighing she could only leave unwillingly
Bowing to the king, she turned around and left. As soon as she left the palace, she asked someone to investigate the kings mate
"I already did....no one knows what she looks like she seems to be hidden."
"What??" She said angrily
"Your highness is keeping her under wraps"
